Hmm... considering he linked it right on the Event Distribution page, I'm guessing there's at least some kind of confirmation there. You did gain social points by winning an Auction once, so that part's true.
You could also try testing it out a little bit. Wiki page says trading works too. (I wouldn't mind finally getting a Golem or Machamp...)
If not, well, it's not like you can't get that egg without the social point bar altogether.

Well, if I were to choose one for each type...
Fire type? Charizard! A SHINY Charizard!
Water/Ice would be Lapras (although Vaporeon would come in for a close second on water)
Chikorita, for Grass.
Psychic would be Mewtwo.
Really like Scyther (and Scizor) too, for Bug-type (and I guess Steel too).
Lucario for Fighting-type.
I still don't know why Charizard isn't a Dragon-type. Dragonite's pretty great though, let's go with that.
Haunter for Ghost.
Emolga's an easy Electric-type.
Rock/Ground. Golem? Been hunting Lycanroc like crazy though, so now I'm quite partial to it.
Eevee is an easy first for all the Pokemon kinds, and any type I didn't mention would be taken by its Eeveelutions. Eevee is an awesome Pokemon.
I like how many of these are from Gen 1, lol.

	What? No, you don't suck. You're just starting out, of course doing all those tasks would be harder. Honestly, I feel that most of these events are geared towards the senior players. The only reason I even finished the first task was because I like to stock up on materials. People are crazy for events. You just have to work a little harder is all. [Read more]
