"Ok, if I'm going to die, I'll explain. As Hisoka said, I snuck in and made a cut on her heel. I used some of the chemicals conveniently left out to infect the cut. When I saw her rush to the nurses office, I knew something was up. On my way to the bathroom, I made sure she couldn't use the antibiotics. As for why?" I gave a dry laugh, not caring about the tears in my eyes. "You all saw how she was acting during the Redmonda trial. How she reacted to learning it was self-defense. But do you know why? I do, and someone here does too." I motioned to the scientist. "I didn't recognize Megami at first, but it wasn't long until I realised. She was the defendant in one of my old cases. Wanna guess what it was about? Murder in the second degree. In self-defense. That was her secret, the one she was terrified to reveal." I sucked in a deep breath. I felt high off adrenaline. "I always had a sort of contingency plan. To pity kill her, if things got rough. But when I saw how much of a damn hypocrite she was... that coward voted Redmonda off. I had enough. I killed her."
