The boy nodded so I sighed and after saying- "I-I'm Lucas" I ran up to see what my room was like. It was incredible. The place was massive first of all. The room was somewhat dark, with verdant green curtains covering most of the sun coming in through the windows. The bed was also a mossy green and there was a large TV in front of it. I wasn't much into TV but I was thinking of getting into it soon anyways. There was also a wooden bookcase with hundreds of books lining he shelves. Ilfir ran in before me and jumped onto the large cushion with the label, Ilfir, in italics. Then I saw the shelves, lined with bottles and bottles of Shadow Essence. I'm also able to eat the Shadow Essence, like Ilfir, but I also like normal human food. A large fridge was also next to these shelves. Not only that, but from somewhere, an aroma filled the room, one that always kept me calm. I went and flopped onto my bed, clicking on the TV with lots of video games and consoles under it. I smiled. Maybe I would go back down later...

The girl didn't answer so I slipped away quietly and awkwardly to find my dorm. Once I found it I walked into a large living room. "Holy-" I said looking at only one of the many rooms. A voice sounded through a speaker, "Each room has been fitted to the users likes and needs." My mouth opened until I saw another boy who wasn't Anubis. Startled, I stepped back, and asked, "Are- Are you Elijah?!"

I walked inside before Anubis and asked for my room key. "Name and registration letter?" I took out the small paper, handed it to the clerk and introduced myself. "My name is Lucas." "You're in room 503 and you'll be bunking with Anubis and Elijah!" "Thanks." I walked quietly down a hallway before seeing someone. I had seen her outside but surrounded by other people I wasn't able to talk with her. "Uh hey!!" I ran after her and reached out my hand.

My walk was pretty uneventful at first, Ilfir weaving in between my legs as I walked. The big city that I had known as my "home" for the past 6 years started to fall away as I entered the forest beyond. The trees branched out above me and sunlight streamed through cracks in the leaves and branches, warming my cold, pale skin. I pulled my jacket around myself tighter and kept walking, Ilfir now walking alongside me, licking his paws and his tail moving up and down, side to side. I stopped for a moment to kneel and rub his warm fur. I handed him a small bottle containing a small, wispy liquid inside. I opened it, and the Shadow Essence drifted into the air, Ilfir snatching it up and greedily stuffing it into his mouth. I chuckled a bit. Every night I would go do something called "Shadow Hunting." I would use my Shadow Magic to extract certain parts of the shadows that lurked in the city and would bottle it up for Ilfir to eat. He was known as a Shadowline, a feline that can only live off of the shadows. That's what made me and him perfect for each other. I smiled and continued my pace toward Soul Academy.

I sat on my bed in the small orphanarium. My stomach was in knots. I was nervous about this day for a long time. Soul Academy, one of the most prestigious schools of magic in the world, had wanted me, Lucas, to go. Everything of mine was packed, not that there was much anyway, just my clothes and different items that might come in handy. I looked down at Ilfir, the black striped cat that I had bonded with over my entire life, the only one there for me when Mom was arrested for killing Dad. Ilfir was sleeping, his back moving up and down as he breathed. "Hey, Ilfir..." I whispered to the cat, trying to get him up. Ilfir's emerald eyes opened slowly and he mewed softly. He stood on his legs trying to gain his balance and came over to nuzzle my legs. I smiled, putting on my jacket and slipping on my gloves, and then strapping my boots on. I stood up, strung my bag over my shoulders, and walked out of the orphanarium not looking back. I would reach Soul Academy in no time.

Name (For the RP)-
Lucas Westwind

Describe your character (Picture is optional)-
Dirty, mousy hair the color of milk chocolate. He wears a short brown coat with long sleeves and a teal shirt with a single white stripe in the middle. Wears pants that go that go down to his knees, and a pair of short black boots as well as black, fingerless gloves. He is kind and most times, but pretty blunt and can get hot headed or even just plain mean sometimes.

Magic power or super power-
He has something called shadow magic which he uses to blend in to dark areas, create shadow copies, and make something called Phantom Thunder. He can also summon a sword which he calls, "Phantom's Bane"

Familiar (your animal companion)-
His familiar is a black striped cat named Ilfir. Ilfir can also slink into the shadows, turn invisible, and can even extend his claws to wide lengths.

Background-
When his mother was found guilty for murdering his father, Lucas ran far away to pursue a a life that didn't involve evil. He pretends like his past was happy but in truth it was all pains and suffering. He aims to master his skills so that he can rid the people who poison this world, from this world. He is someone who aims to be a hero, but sometimes doesn't know his own strength.
