Oddish replied, "Oh well, a lot has happened in my life, especially with all of these phenomenons. I'd really rather not discuss the exact details, I just can't talk about it right now." It was hard for Oddish to think about the night his parents died, it brought up awful emotions and memories. But he wasn't mad at Ari for asking, it was just an honest question. The two continued walking towards the Guild, both enjoying each others company. Once they arrived at the Guild, they entered and went to the third sub-level and entered the dinner hall. Oddish was astounded at what he saw; a long table with plates for each members. But what was on the plates surprised him the most. "I'll get my money now." Oddish said as he began to search through his explorers bag to find the PD he kept in there. He found it and placed the 80 PD on the counter in front of Persian. "It's not much, but hopefully it will all add up in the future." Oddish said with a smile. "Money is still money." The Persian said. "Thanks for stopping by, come again!" Persian turned around and walked back into the bank. Oddish turned round to face Ari, "Now that that's done, do you have anywhere else to go before e go back to the Guild?" Oddish asked. "I just came from my Grandmother's home." Oddish replied to Ari. "I was going to head back to the Guild, but I suppose I'll store the money I received from the explorer's bag in the bank." Oddish wondered if Ari would be heading the the bank also. "If you're going to the bank as well, I'll tag along if you don't mind. But we should probably hurry, it's getting dark and we wouldn't want to miss dinner time at the Guild." Oddish said as his stomach growled. They both smiled. Oddish left the Guild, ran through the village, and entered the forest where his grandmother lived. The sun was beginning to set. He journeyed through the forest and eventually reached the hollowed out tree where his grandmother was. When he entered the place he called home, his grandmother had been attending to some flowers. Grandmother Gloom loved flowers. Her mother, Oddish's great grandmother, had been a Bellossom, and taught grandmother Gloom all of her tricks. Grandmother Gloom turned around and saw Oddish enter. A smile spread across her face. "Oddish!" she yelled, "I'm so happy your back. How did it go? Were you accepted? Meet any new friends?" Oddish was bombarded with questions, but he supposed he would just tell he everything from the beginning. He told his grandmother everything that had happened so far. "Oh my." She said, "I hope your doing okay after all that battling. And some of those Pokémon you've met, I've only ever heard about. Oh how I wish I was young again... It's getting late, you should get going back to the Guild and have a good nights rest. I wouldn't want you tired during your explorations." She smiled, and Oddish smiled back. "Bye Grandmother, I'll stop by soon, I promise." Oddish said as he left and headed back towards the village. While Oddish was walking through town, he noticed a Doduo. He saw that this Doduo was wearing an explorer's bag. Oddish realised that she must be from the Guild. He ran up to her, "Hey." Oddish continued to follow Golett down the tunnel. The tunnel was longer than Oddish had anticipated, lanterns hung from the walls every few intervals and a small stream ran against the wall, but finally the tunnel opened up into a small circular clearing, with paths that led in all directions. Golett spoke, "Down each of the paths is a room, you can decide which one you would like. Each room holds more than one member, so expect a room mate soon. Since the day is still young, feel free to explore the Guild. I'll be heading off now, remember that Crystal will want to speak to you later." Golett disappeared into the darkness of the tunnel. Hmm, Oddish thought as he looked around at the rooms, I guess I'll choose this one... he said as he walked down the tunnel that led to room Number 15. The room itself was of average size, certainly larger than the room Oddish owned at his Grandmother's. The Room had a small stream running along the edge of wall, which he assumed every room had. There was 1 small window that looked out over the ocean, and 3 small beds made out of hay that lay in the centre of the room. A lantern hung from the ceiling, an ember burning inside. Oddish decided it was time he explored the Guild, when suddenly he remembered that he promised he would visit his grandmother after he had been accepted as an Explorer. He felt ashamed of him self for forgetting, but being angry at himself wouldn't help, so he ran out of his room and down the tunnel into the main foyer of the second sub-level. He began to climb up the ladder to leave the Guild and go visit his grandmother. [Read more] |

Just as Oddish reached the second sub-level, a Duduo, named Ari, approached him and asked about joining the guild. "Hi." Oddish began, "I'm only new here myself. If you want to join the Guild, just go down to the level below and talk to Crystal; she's the Guild Master. She'll send you on a small exploration to prove that you have what it takes to join, so be ready, but I'm sure you'll be fine. I just finished my first exploration and was accepted a few minutes ago. Now I'm going to get a room here at the Guild. I'll hopefully see you around later." Oddish told Ari with a smile on his face. Oddish thought that Ari seemed a bit shy, and he hoped that she would pass the exploration test. She seemed nice. Oddish turned around to look for the Golett and spotted it over in the corner of the room beside a bunch of vines hanging from the wall. It just stood there, like a statue. Oddish walked over to it. "Hey, I'm Oddish. I was told to speak to you about getting a room..." The Golett replied with an almost robotic voice. "Ah, welcome to the Guild. Crystal just informed me of your acceptance. We're always glad to get new members. I'll take you to your room, they are on this floor. Please follow me." The Golett turned around to face the vines on the wall. Oddish hadn't noticed it before, but the vines were covering a passageway that lead into the rock walls of the Guild. It appeared that the explorers room were kept down the tunnel. [Read more] |

He ran back to the Guild, excited that he had finished his first exploration. When he reached the Guild, he went straight to find Crystal. She was in the Guild Master's office on the third sub level. Oddish opened the door and walked in. "Oddish?" Crystal spoke, "You have returned, and with the treasure I see." "Yeah, but I have no idea what it does." Oddish replied as he placed the Golden Apple infront of Crystal. "Oh, it doesn't have any particular purpose; I just really love Apples, and Golden Apples taste the best." Crystal said with a smile on her face as she bit into the Apple. She continued, "Since you completed the exploration, you have been accepted into the Guild. Now that you are a member, you will be given a room in which you can keep your personal items and sleep. Golett should be on the second sub level, if you talk to it, it will show you to your room. Tomorrow morning, I will explain about accepting job requests and others privileges you will receive by being a member." Oddish was about to burst with excitement. "Oh my Pokémon, thank you so much for accepting me. I am so happy!" "The Guild is glad to have you, Oddish." Crystal said as Oddish walked out of the office and up to the second sub-level.
