"Xena," he said a bit more softly, drawing her attention, "do you remember what happened the last time we worked together to put power in a Fantasy? She was far too strong and only caused destruction in her short lifetime. If you were to give that girl Darkness now, you would risk creating an anomaly; we both know how dangerous our children can be with a lot of raw power." He rubbed his paw across his face lazily.

Jasper groaned with boredom and laid amongst the dandelions, staring at the sky. He stuck out his arm and swirled it, causing the clouds to swirl accordingly.

Rogue grinned--choosing to dwell among the humans for something as simple as pigeons seemed like something he would do. He stood, leaning on the bench to help him, and stuck out a hand to offer Glacier some help. "Where are you staying right now? We've got to catch up," he insisted, still a bit shocked that he was able to meet someone from his past again.

Cas nodded and cast his gaze to the floor, rubbing the back of his neck and thinking. He began to wonder how he had never noticed the signs of a bad past in his closest friend. That doesn't change who he is as a person, he scolded himself, looking back at Nanaki with an exasperated attempt at a smile. "I guess neither of us has the best past," he said a bit jokingly, Trauma happily accepting the scratches. "You're safe now, though~" the companion reminded them (mostly to reassure Castiel).

"I think Kali notices--after all, how couldn't she with all this teasing--but doesn't know what to make of it. I'm sure they'll figure it out though, Dark really likes her. It's adorable," Wither remarked, laying on her back and facing the ceiling. She flicked her gaze at Magnolia worriedly when she flinched but said nothing, knowing that she'd be fine. Void chirped in compliance (a noise Wither didn't know he could make) and hopped off the bed, padding off to the kitchen. She sighed and rested her hand behind her head. "It's been quite the day, huh?"

Robin softly coaxed Venom awake and sent him flying off, walking off with Marshall. Mavis and Skye disappeared into the shadows, leaving Viola alone.
------------
Tempest yawned and flopped on his side, his tail swishing a bit more serenely. "Of course I haven't forgotten, it's just... My time with meddling is over, Xena. It's not like we need any more Fantasies running about--especially since they suffer in a world amongst the humans." He was silent before his nose twitched curiously. "Say, are you missing babying a new Fantasy? Is that what this is?"
----------------
Jasper whistled and slipped off the roof of the cottage, twisting his wrist so that he could slowly float to the ground. He placed his hands on his hips and squinted up at the sky impatiently, missing his griffin, and scuffed his shoe into the ground.

Rogue laughed and beamed, driving his elbow into Glacier's ribcage only heavy enough to knock him off. "I didn't think I'd ever see you again, much less in the more human areas!" He replied, his jubilance seeming to light up everything about him. "When did you get out?" He asked, overwhelmed with questions to ask his old friend.

"We go find him--it's not safe for him to be out there alone, much less in such a reckless state... and where's Shadow?" Mavis said quickly, jumping to her feet.
"We don't even know how far off he went, much less in what direction--" Robin started.
Skye interrupted, "Which means we split up quickly. He's not a Dark fantasy and he can't shadow-port or whatever, I doubt he got far."
"I--don't go alone! It's not safe, we don't want another accident," Mavis warned.

Tempest's mane crackled and darkened when he heard this. "It's not safe to mess about with nature like that..." His eyes spoke with warning when he looked at her, "although I suppose that's always been your forte."

Castiel covered his mouth with his hand while Nanaki talked, his eyebrows furrowed in concern for his friend. His face was a war between sympathy and moroseness--Trauma had pointed it out before, but the more Nanaki spoke, the more he realized how similar their situations had been. "I'm... so sorry," he mumbled, not quite sure how else to reassure him. His stress levels were slowly rising and he could feel his heart rate increase. Trauma's ear twitched, sensing his companion's discomfort, and he jumped on the couch next to him, laying his head softly on Cas's lap. Castiel stroked his ear, calming down. "How... long ago was this?" He asked.

(ima just skip the walking bit)
Wither unlocked the door and put the key on the nearest counter, making sure Magnolia was safely on the bed before sitting down herself. "You figure Dark and Kali are hitting it off?" She queried with a teasing grin. Void sat by her feet, curiously looking around the room.

"Oh, Cas, he has back secrets too!" Trauma blurt out excitedly, perking his head up. "Be nice," Castiel scolded softly, turning back to Nanaki. "What... happened?" He managed to ask, stumbling a bit on how to phrase it. He thought about Amaryllis, wondering if she had been there.
-------
"I'll stay for as long as you want," she promised, sustaining eye contact with an angel in her pathway. The angel apologized and moved out of the way, Wither walking at Magnolia's pace so that she was safe.

"It's quite soothing," Raven agreed softly, Adeline flashing him a subtle but encouraging smile. He had been a rollercoaster ever since Adriane helped him out, but she was happy to help him through it.
-----
Rogue's whistling lingered on a note and faded out slowly as he realized what was happening. He froze and stumbled back, falling onto the chair but quickly scrambling up to peek over it. His pupils slit for only a split second as he stared at the dragon, recognizing the breed but noticing the notch in his ear and the lack of wings. His eyes narrowed slightly, questioning whether or not he really recognized the dragon, but he skimmed the park and stood up slowly. "It's not safe to be out in the open like this," Rogue uttered, cautious.

Trauma craned his head up when Nanaki's hand came near as if to affectionately touch it with his nose (he lacked the components to do this, and it failed miserably). "If you really want to know," he said in defeat, his split tongue flicking as he spoke. Cas motioned his head to the side and stopped to open his cabin door, not wanting to be overheard by passing strangers. Trauma hopped on the bed and curled up, resting his chin on his paws. His light-tears rolled off of the bed and disapparated just a few inches off the floor. Castiel sat criss-cross on the arm of his couch, taking a deep breath.
------
"Alright, you're right..." Wither complied, ignoring the sideglances from strangers. Her focus lingered on Magnolia's face for a second too long, thinking about what Dark had said, before she quickly blushed and looked away.
----------
Kaleidoscope blinked in surprise and thought for a moment. She wasn't much of a fighter, but her light was her strong suit. "Sure," she chirped happily.

Castiel's gaze softened, appreciative of his friend. "N-no, it's okay... I trust you," he reassured, Trauma looking up at him in interest. "Well you're in for quite the story~" He cooed, smiling at Nanaki. Castiel sighed but had no retort.
-----
Wither smiled weakly, still overwhelmed with guilt. She lightly put her other hand on Magnolia's shoulder as if to steady her (although it wasn't much help) and started to walk slowly towards the cabins. "Are you sure you don't want to stop down by the infirmary?" She offered.
----------
Kali smiled at him, "I can imagine. I know walking is a bit of a struggle since it's... so different. It's good that you adapted so quickly." She paused as she scanned his face as if scanning for something. Magnolia's bickering had further alerted her to the fact that he had feelings for her and she couldn't help but doubt it.
She sighed and put her hands on her hips, looking over at the weapons. "If I'm going to be honest here, close-combat isn't my strong point and it's really quite tedious and annoying to learn. But sword fighting's pretty fun, so I guess we could start with that?"

"Hello~" Adeline greeting cheerily, Raven only waving back. She sat comfortably with her legs criss-crossed, leaning against the side of the couch. "Would you like some green tea? It's still hot," she offered, cradling a small handleless teacup. Raven idly picked at his nails, still a bit of a stranger to Matthew.

Rogue sat on the back of a park bench, serenely tearing off bread and tossing it to a flock of pigeons that had gathered around him. His mind wandered to the strangeness of the situation--after all, some ice dragons used to hunt pigeons and feed them to their young or use their wings for medical purposes. He whistled softly, an old melody devoted to the Frostwalker.

"Ooh, are we gossiping?" Trauma purred, flicking his tattered ear in interest. Castiel frowned at him disapprovingly to show him that it was a bit more of a serious matter. Trauma only smiled, displaying his sharp, crooked teeth. An angel walking by gave him a frightened side glace, but he proudly padded on with his tail swishing as if he didn't notice.
"I guess you don't know all that much about mine, either," Castiel said, although it was a bit of an offer.
-------
"Of course." Wither slowly stood and Void hopped off of the bench to join her, the concern in her face still apparent. She silently cursed herself for hurting Magnolia that bad, with even Void seeming sympathetic. "Y'know, that's no way to flirt," he remarked, making sure he was only speaking in Wither's mind.
"Shut up, she snapped back, glaring at him briefly.
-----------
She nodded, "You two are a good couple." Kaleidoscope skimmed the room, noticing the emptiness. There were a couple of demons in the corner, but that was it--she figured it was usually empty around lunchtime. She turned her focus back to Dark. "How's the human form treating you? You're... quite tall, I can't imagine how balancing must be."

"Only if you want to," Castiel replied, pausing for a moment when he realized he sensed a presence. "Boo." Trauma slipped through the crowd and walked by Castiel's side, his claws clicking against the floors. He greeted his demon companion happily, Trauma's tail flicking almost violently.
-------
Wither hesitantly dropped her hand back to her side and sat next to Void, who was looking curiously at Aqua. He morphed back into his animal form, which he was clearly more comfortable in, and curled up on the bench with his head resting on his paws.
-----------
"Hello~" Kaleidoscope sang, walking up to Dark calmly as she tied her hair up. "Sorry for taking so long, I had to check on some things first." She looked at where he was creating shapes and smiled.

"Should we... go looking for her?" Mavis asked timidly, clearly worried but more confused on what to do. Skye shook her head, "No. She's safe with Dawn and we have... no idea, frankly, where we would even begin. If we're lucky we'll maybe see her again. God knows when."
"Where's Maxwell?" Robin asked, looking around the room.
------
Tempest flicked his tail and turned his head to look at Xena, lightning flitting in his eyes with interest. "Enough of that human speech," he said teasingly, purring in an ancient language that was more familiar to the both of them. "I'm surprised to see you here. What have you been up to?"

That explains a lot, Crysia thought, remembering the time he ruined her hunting. She crossed her legs, listening silently and lightly stroking Celestial. She could tell her raven had relaxed, if not warmed up, to Jackson upon realizing that his true intentions were... not all that bad. It had been a while since their loyalties laid with someone they didn't mind all that much.
"Nobody has to know about it. I'm sure there's a lot of stuff the Queen hides for the sake of publicity--I know the King certainly has a few secrets. If anything, it seems... more convenient to me," she reassured.

Silver led the group confidently through the throne room. Rhythe's heels clacked against the checkered floors as she followed happily beside him, spinning a blade in her left hand. "Why are we here?" Eclipse mumbled with Dusk on her shoulder. She slipped her hand into Magnolia's and gripped it tightly, a bit alarmed by the dreariness of the room.
A strange cosmic creature was curled up on the throne and it raised its head as the group grew closer, making a threatening clicking noise. "Quiet down, Liri," shushed a somewhat high but gravelly voice that bounced off the walls of the room. Monty dropped from the beams of the ceiling, stopping only feet above the ground to slowly drift down like a feather.
"Oh, my. It's been quite a while since I've seen some of you," he spoke, a lot softer than before. He smiled gently at Magnolia and Shade, but his interest was quickly turned to Eclipse. "It's nice to meet you, dear. I'm the King, but it's alright if you wish to call me Monty." He stuck out a hand and Eclipse hesitantly shook it.

Crysia saw the flash of guilt and was struck with interest, her eyebrow raising instinctively. Upon realizing, she erased the traces of lingering curiosity and instead focused on what he had to say. "Alright," she said in almost a singsong voice, knowing that it wasn't the full truth, "say something if you remember."
He probably doesn't have that much to do, anyways, she thought, not bothered.

She shrugged and inspected the shot glass as she spoke, "Binding someone isn't all that different. I mean, if it comes down to the telepathy, forced companionship, and assignments." Crysia said this with a small sarcastic smile on her face, but her tone seemed indifferent from before. She tediously sipped from the contents of the shot glass and wrinkled her nose. "You weren't kidding," she grumbled, holding it in front of Celestial. The raven turned her head in denial and went to the water instead, Crysia chuckling softly.
"Speaking of assignments. What did you call me here for?"

"Definitely. I initially got Celestial to help with assignments, but she became quickly became a close companion. She's... practically family at this point," Crysia replied calmly. She was growing more curious about Jackson by the second--she had mostly avoided the Queen's son and had never noticed his loneliness before. "I'm sure you could easily get one if you wanted to."

She thanked him when he handed her the shot glass, cocking her head subconsciously when she noticed the change in attitude. Don't have much to lose if this is all a trick, she thought to herself almost grimly, figuring that she would be able to sense some anger or negativity through their bind if he was going to snap.
Crysia looked into Celestial's eyes for a moment, the constellation-like specks shifting, and turned back to Jackson for an answer. "She wouldn't mind." She paused before adding, "Her name's Celestial."
