	The skeletons kept coming back. Indestructible undead warriors. And yes, the rip was still there, still growing wider. It would soon consume half the room. Interestingly enough, the skeletons seemed to stay far away from the rip. [Read more]

Well, Athena could waste her time being disappointed and frustrated, or actually do something substantial. Fortunately, she chose the latter. Unfortunately, there wasn't much she could do. Except for try and find some more clues. ~~Hopefully there was something for her to find...~~ And maybe keep whacking her brains for whatever clue she had. ~~If she even had any...~~

For the moment, she simply wandered around, slightly absent-minded and pointless, "looking for clues".

	Unfortunately, Fortvera's bashing wasn't doing a lot of damage to the skeletons. They just reassembled and advanced again. And yes, Sobble was right. The skeletons were strong. Of course... The rip which was still going strong was an option... [Read more]

	The skeletons advanced. They would have looked silly with their lopsided walk, some missing limbs or having bashed in heads, if it weren't for the fact that they were out for blood. But then there was a rip. Longer and wider than all the ones before. It was strangely inviting, even with the same dark cavern showing through. [Read more]

Unfortunately for our Heroes, the rips continued on in the other room as well.
And they were still getting larger and lasting for longer.
As if inviting you to take a closer look...

Wait.
Was that a flash of red in the eye sockets of the skull over there?
No, it was probably just an illusion.

But hold on a sec.
There was another flash.
It couldn't possibly be real, right?

Wrong!

Suddenly, there was a blinding flash.
When it finally cleared, you found yourself surrounded my skeletons.

And no, you can't break the walls down this time.

The whole dress fitting ordeal was finally completed, and Athena collapsed onto an ornately decorated chair as soon as the dressmakers and ladies-in-waiting left the room. By now the earliest beginnings of the Spring Festival would be starting, although that was only village festivities and the official festival would come quite a bit later. Yet she longed to be able to be among the cheerful villagers laughing, singing, dancing, free. If only...

	Then it happened again. Another rip. Bigger and more noticable this time. You could just barely see another dark cavern through the crack, this one even gloomier and absent of light than the one you were in. And then another and another. Reality itself was fluctuating. The rips widened and laster for longer, each one showing the same cold cavern. [Read more]

Athena was getting her dress for the Spring Festival fitted.

If she was completely honest, it was an extremely uncomfortable process and she despised it. The amount of silk, glitter, and frills was enough to make her vomit. And then her legs would go numb standing for so long. The dress was heavy and suffocating, the only thing preventing her from sweating buckets was a cleverly hidden cooling spell.

But she kept that to herself. She was used to it. She played the role of the perfect princess and heir flawlessly. Her head held high, but still humble, her back straight yet still graceful and relaxed. There wasn't a single hole in her disguise.
