Hi! Welcome to Pokeheroes.
If you want to give a pokemon an item you must go to the Item Bag> Home and next to the item you want to give to the pokemon it says "Give Item". Click on that and then you can choose a pokemon from your storage to give it to. As for taking an item away, I don't think that's in the game yet or I'm just not sure as I joined not too long ago either.
