While your statements have a lot of truth within them (both meme and WhisperingThief), there is the other side of the line: Too much speculation can go too far. Undertale was killed due, for the most part, temporary replayability(which all games suffer from, except a few), the community, and overspeculation by YouTubers. MatPat didn't make too many Undertale theories, only 3(technically 4), but they were low quality. YouTubers like UnderLab have a few great theories, but there are WAY too many, some of them managing to be worse than MatPat's.

also they're potential spoilers and I don't want to enter my next big game already spoiled. that's why I have a grudge against the theory.

well i just found out that sayori didn't go to therapy because she was so happy that the mc joined the lit club
