Thank you! I debated for days over what pose and angle I should do, and I couldn't come up with anything so I just did a flying pose, and a relatively flat angle. I was gonna do something involving a sakura tree, but I couldn't draw trees whatsoever so I just didn't include one. [Read more] |

So a while back I found IgnisScientia's Decidueye Oc, and I really liked it so I had planned to draw it. Although I wasn't able to enter their contest in which I found their Oc, because I didn't have time to draw anything when the contest was up. there are so much and it's gonna take so long to comment on every single one so- Here you go: They're great, and if there's any critique I want to give I'll do them down here vv @Sylvii For your gem sona, the blended white on the hair really clashes against the rest of the art, which has no blending. It makes the white part seem messy, so I suggest to make the white part more of a solid shape, to fit with the rest of the sona. @Prim The cheekbone of the last one is kind of uneven, and looks like it's jutting out too much? (Ordered by number from your revamp sketch to your animation sketch) @Noctis 10/10 Although I've noticed that all your art has been sketchy(as in sketched lines, not- like, off setting sketchy), and I suggest getting rid of their sktchy-ness(ha that's not a word). I think that depends on how your friend gave them to you, if they gave them to you with the intention of you using them, I don't think you should give away a month of core using those points. However if they really don't care how it's spent- then if you feel like it, you could definitely give away a month of core! Also those pixels are really well done! [Read more] |

I'm really sorry to hear that, but I personally believe that your mother just wants to help you have more motivation? Sure, she might be doing it wrong, however I personally believe that she has good intentions for you. However please don't be too stressed because of that, just take it slowly. I know listening to your parents is a good thing, but when it comes down to something like this, if she actually forces you to draw without using your own style, tell her about style differences. Have a discussion, and if she still doesn't listen, then don't let her force you. I believe your mother just wants you to improve upon landscapes as she believes it's something you need improvement on, and I believe also that she's urging you too quickly because she doesn't understand the time it takes. Don't see art as work, I mean it is work-but view it more as a fun work, if that makes any sense xD Have fun with it. I know having your mother pressuring you takes the fun out of art, but take your mothers words more like advice and try to use it as a bit of motivation in any kind of way, instead of taking her words as orders that must be followed.
