Snarling back with a curl of her lips, she grumbled in response, "Well that's all well and dandy but don't expect me to agree with your.. views." folding her arms, she growled, "Introduce me if you want, I don't care, as long as you kitty-cats don't use me as a play-toy mouse." glancing over at Bane with narrowed eyes, she hissed, "Just send that message, I see no need to continue talking. Thank you for your services." she added briskly. With that, she removed two small knives from the sleeves of her arms and placed them on the ground. She leaned to her side and brought out a knife out of a pouch on her legs and she continued the process until there was a 'reasonable' pile on the ground of knives and daggers. Sure! Zaire's also kinda hanging around and I'd like to get him back in action! xD) Brunhilde snorted as a response. "Pathetic?" she questioned, "You call my race pathetic?" but she restrained her anger and contempt. "We humans may seem obnoxious and certain of our position in the universe, but we have achieved things like no other. Evolution has taken it's course in everything, including us. Once, we were simple hunters, then over time, we became agriculturists, builders, architects of towering buildings and constructors of cities, we meddled with science and worked out cures and ailments to prevent the weak from dying, we even sought to protect you lot." hissing her final statement. "Sure, there were some that didn't give a damn for your ecosystem, but you can be sure as hell that I did." flinging her hands in the air with anger, she spat back, "Years of charity work, kindness, compassion and a determination to do the Earth good and what has that done for me? To lose everyone and to be restrained by force? To feel like death is stalking me by the creatures I once was desperate to protect?" snarling back, she continued, "Frankly, I don't give a damn if I'm killed. My family's gone and the only thing keeping me alive is trying to help those in need. If you can't have the capacity of compassion or emotion in your heart to help keep a struggling settlement alive, regardless of species, then you are less of a noble leader than I once thought." Now folding her arms, she continued in a calmer tone, despite her narrowed eyes, "We once evolved from single-celled organisms that flowed in the seas and even though we are different physically and in our survival, we still bleed the same red blood, we still have a heart, lungs, organs within us that make us go and we still all feel emotion in our veins. We are not so different. I have stated this before." Suddenly a sly look entered her eyes. She may put the emotions of others first, but she had retained cunning intelligence on her side, "If I am to stay here for a while, then let it be. However, no knowledge of human settlements will be given out. My weapons will remain by my side and I will not be hunted." Giving a more narrowed glance, she added, "And as a simple request in exchange for my.. 'imprisonment', any humans in this territory will be sent to me beforehand or I will be notified of their presence. Just as a precaution to travelers." The scowl got worse and was visible on her face and she fastened her loose hand into a scrunched up, claw-like shape before whipping her head around and glaring at the wolf-thing, "Don't you dare repeat that to me." she growled back viciously, "I will continue to look for her myself, thank you very much." she replied curtly. All her emotions of fear were replaced by a sudden fit of rage. If this woman was dead, it was her fault. Her fault for not being able to calm her down and get out of this hell earlier. Too many people had died and the idea of another being added to the continued list in Brunhilde's mind was too much. Even if she hadn't known her, this woman lived a life, hell, she could have had a family, surely she couldn't have had such a horrible end to her life? She turned back to Ghembo and growled in response, "We share ideals. Your pride come first, so do human survivors for me. What I find unrighteous is that you were hunting us." before she could dare to look at these creatures' vicious reactions, she immediately hissed, "I'm not looking for a fight. But you've got no chance in hell that I'm gonna whimper like a beaten dog to your whims and wants." she flexed her arm at her side in an odd position, readying a knife if it had to be used as a last resort, "You are hesitant to continue your speech." she observed through her narrowed eyes, "If you have an answer, speak of it. I didn't come here to die and neither did you lot." (Also, I know Brunhilde might come off as a bit too aggressive and mean-spirited, but right now I adore her character! xD) [Read more] |
