Mrs. Lantos feels as if she's about to faint. Just when everything was going so well. Of course she had missed a student. Oh, God, please have mercy on her soul. This one particular student looks as if she could raise Hell upon her.
"Ahahahaha, it looks like we've done a slight mix-up! Anpea Kanaille, please come up on the stage!" She holds the box out straight, afraid to have someone drop it again.

Kamma ducks her head as a loud noise deafens the cafeteria. How bold is this Scarlett girl, anyways? Setting an alarm off so suddenly? Admirable in some way, but... Kamma clenches her fist. She can't be one-upped like this...!

After listening to Asumi talk, she bows her head. No way would she ever share a room or house with that stupid Marie. She's dumb. Taller than her. All tall people deserve this mistreatment.
She fires up when Marie seems geniunely saddened by her insults. "N-no way! You aren't that dumb! I-I mean, uh, I mean you're not dumb. That dumb. No, no, hard pause, you're uh. Uh. Uh not th- not stupid at all." She facepalms. Jesus Christ, Kamma.

Kamma looks away from Marie, slightly embarrassed. She shrieks when Marie hugs her, pushing her away. "Sit on your own chair, idiot!" She looks furiously down at the table.

Mrs. Lantos shakes her head. How much time until retirement, generally speaking?
The sophomore's turn, now... Only one year spent with these rascals, some not even that, but they'd be fine. Hopefully. A little more matureness could never harm anyone, though.
She reads the first name, "Cascade Shoal!"

Mrs. Lantos smiles for herself, taking a deep breath. The seniors were over now. Now it was just... the rest of the students. The juniors first. She tries to shake her nervousness off her, reading the first name. And then the second. And the third. And the fourth.
"Kamma Fjelstrup!"
...
Silence.
"Kamma Fjelstrup?"

Up in the vents directly above, Kamma grins at Scarlett with only a slight boast behind her smile. "Well, I'll be seeing you."
She opens the vent, making sure her feet are first down, then jumps. She can feel her entire body hate her as she hits the ground, but the expression on Mrs. Lantos' face makes everything worth it.
She sticks her hand in the box, taking a slip of paper up from it. She reads it for herself, fist-pumping immediately after. "Red Salamanders! How cool!" she says, walking down to the junior table with her head up high.

Mrs. Lantos can't help but shake all over when walking from the teacher's lounge to the cafeteria. How unfortunate that it has to be her. What if some students got mad about their roommates?! Would they fire her? Can students even do that?
She walks up to the teacher's table, waving to some of the seniors while doing so.
Mr. Frazier greets her and hands her the notes. She nods as thanks, walking over to a small podium. She taps the mic a little, apologising for any unpleasant sounds, then begins speaking:
"I, along with the rest of the teachers, would like to welcome you all to OrdinaryName High School, whether you're new or old. This year we'll be doing things a tad different by introducing our three houses, Red Salamanders, Yellow Ferrets and Green Deer. We will be sorting you all into these houses by magic!" She claps her hands a little. "Or, well, as much magic as you'd call an Internet feature. Anyways! We will call you up, one by one, starting with seniors. Now then, Sofus Qvist, if you would like..."

Sofus walks on his pride's feet as he stands up on the small stage. Being presented with a little box, he sticks his hand in it and pulls a slip of paper up from it. He reads it out loud, making sure his voice is loud and clear, "Yellow Ferrets!"
How fitting, he thinks, patting his hair. He wags his tail as he walks down to his spot again. A Yellow Ferret, huh? How fun!

He worries it falls for deaf ears for a second, but supposes that such fighting spirit is admirable. Being shy is okay too, he decides, although still slightly saddened. Sofus chuckles a little at Echo's comment. He'd have to try and talk with his underclassmen a little more. Make them understand that just because you're a mango, you can still fit in the fruit bowl. Or something. He had read a How-To book on seeming responsible, but most of the knowledge had seeped out of his mind. Something about unity, anyway!
Greeting the students that came in, he truly felt as if his time had come. This is it. This is where all the knowledge comes to use.
He waltzes over to a young pair of students, seemingly a Centiskorch & Arcanine at first glance. "Why, hello! Are you both excited for the ceremony?" He flashes a smile as if to seem more approachable.

"Oh, I do not mind at all!" Sofus nearly sings. He holds the door open for the others while stepping into the warmth of the lobby. He points. "That right there is where we're going. The cafeteria. It's large enough to not only be a place of eating but a second home for many. I've seen people play board games here before. Dungeons and Dragonite or something? I'm not quite sure."

He puts a finger to his cheek. "This is a new thing for almost all of us, really. They've done ceremonies before, but not to this level. And not because of sorting. Guess they added it to keep us on our toes."

8:30 AM - ENTRANCE CEREMONY

Kamma stares into the air, lost in the meaning of what life truly is. "Well, there ya have it. Now come on, people will start gathering in the cafeteria now!" She says as she crawls further throughout the vents.

Sofus cannot necessarily hear Asumi, but he does try to pat her on the back as if to help in any way. He smiles happily when the bell rings, its mighty tone casting hurry in people's steps. He walks a little ahead, swinging his head back like he's seen in movies before. Like a true gentleman.
"Shall we?"

Sofus lights up, putting out his hand. "Always nice to chat with fellow students. Do not fret, I have the entire school schedule for the rest of the year printed into my head. I will always be here to guide you all!" He boasts, putting a hand on his chest. "The sorting of students will all be revealed in the Entrance Ceremony, so I am afraid I cannot spoil all too much for you. After all, wouldn't that ruin it a little?"
He puts his hands on his hips and lets a heartfelt laugh.

Kamma's face flares up in embarrassment. "Y-yes-yes I can, actually. You just don't know everything about it."
She thinks about the question a little. What is her plan? She would've just dropped a bucket of water on Mrs. Lantos to surprise her a little, but now she's already gone ahead and talked her plan up this much.
She stutters as she says, "Something that can't be explained with words!"

Kamma feels how her face scrunches up in confusion and fear. Never one to give up, she nods and turns on her flashlight. "Well, of course. I live in all those places. Got houses in all those... cities," she boasts before crawling a little further ahead. "Listen here, 'Scarlett' - if that's even your real name - we're gonna make this year one to remember. They're beginning to get ready with the Entrance Ceremony, and I have the perfect way to make our faces known throughout the entire school."

Sofus stares at the girl. Dumbfounded, scared and most importantly on guard are the main feelings, emotions and actions drifting through his body... Breaking school property?! How... how bizarre! He nods at what Asumi says in a proper manner.
"The school would not be very happy about any property damaged. There will be grave consequences," he informs. "I'm Sofus Qvist. A pleasure to meet you."

Kamma screams as she hears a voice right next to her. Who is it?!
"My name is uhm... Trouble... Troublecausus. I'm from Switzerland, so you might not have heard about me. It's very... exotic."
Of course, she had no idea where Switzerland is, but no clue that this stranger is gonna know that, right?
"Wh.... what is your name! Hahaha!" She begins sweating.

Shuffling through the sneakiest corners of the school like this was a piece of cake. Sure, Kamma only knew how to get into the vents because of her very obviously kicking one off, but nobody would know that, right?
She stops to look down at one particular spot. Right down into the teacher's lounge. She turns off her flashlight and pushes her ear close to the vent.

"There's a lot of new students this year! I do think this year will be one of the best, yes yes!" It was Mrs. Lantos' voice with the way it wavers. Kamma rolls her eyes. Mrs. Lantos always has this fake happiness vibe around her.

"The entrance ceremony should be soon... Are you sure, everything is ready?" This time it was Mr. Frazier... His voice is old and rough, but it is really such a delight to listen to. It makes you feel at home.

The entrance ceremony is soon... Kamma grins. Yeah, she'll make this year's one to remember!

Valentin stands right where he is. He moves no muscle as his head begins to set off into hyper panic mode. Kalinda doesn't know anything. She's so stupid. Dumb. Idiot. He begins feeling tears forming in his eyes as he decides on one thing in his life for once. He bolts out of the castle. He doesn't know if he can do it - if Opal's magic allows him to, but he decides to close his eyes and just follow through. For once, please, may God have mercy on his soul.

Thea looks around, glancing from side to side. She could've sworn there was someone calling for her. She decides to go back to her usual work of trying to find a Proper Pineapple. Knowing when someone calls your name is magic for losers, and she surely wasn't magical nor a loser.

Sofus' tail immediately began wagging when people he knew gathered around. "Good morning!" he said, as he cheerily watched the conversation amongst the two. He looked around the school grounds a little more, making him smile all around as he saw just how many people were present. So many smiles. It warmed his heart a lot. That's when he saw a black-haired girl - Echo, was it? - look eerily sour. He'd seen her around before but never gotten the chance to talk to her. He tilted his head. How could you be anything but happy at this time?
