Duskwind had seen Hawkpool with the other Pineclan warrior's in the elder's den, and casually strolled in that direction. " Hello, " He mewed, as he came near Hawkpool, " How did the dawn patrol go this morning?" he said with a sly smile.

Sunkit looked taken aback at the notion, " That would be a very bad trade," she said, as they neared the nursery. She could hear Bramblekit and Flowerheart's voices coming from within.

	The deer leapt with its powerful hind legs and tried to run, with Kanti hanging off of him. The deer ran right into Andromeda, who leapt out of her hiding place, latching her jaw around the deer's neck. The combined weight of their bodies brought the deer down, struggling uselessly. 	Andromeda silently stalked through the trees until she and Kanti had the deer surrounded on two sides. She crept as close to the deer as she could while still hidden, and locked eyes with Kanti. Now!, she mouthed to Kanti, hoping she would understand. [Read more]

Before Kanti could answer, Andromeda heard branches breaking not far from their position. As quietly as she could, she moved through the trees towards the sound. She could see the tan fur of a deer through the trees up ahead, grazing off the branches of a bush that still had leaves on it. Andromeda signaled for Kanti to walk around to the right, as she headed to the left of the deer, still hidden in the trees.

Dawnpelt shook her head, " No, sorry. I'll talk to you about it later," she mewed, dipping her head apologetically. Dawnpelt exited the leader's den, padding down the high ledge. She would speak to Fallentree and Feathercloud when they returned from the midday patrol, she noted to herself. She thought for a moment of a third cat who could go, and her brother came to mind. Maybe I'll give him something useful to do. Flaws aside, he is a quiet stalker..., she thought, as she looked for Duskwind around the camp.

	Dawnpelt blinked, surprised that Flamestar agreed to this suggestion. She nodded, already thinking of who to send. " Thank you Flamestar. Hopefully, they'll learn something useful," she mewed, getting to her paws. " I'll inform the party, then have them leave at dawn," She paused before leaving the den. Dawnpelt nodded, but still didn't feel quite reassured. " I was thinking, perhaps it would be a smart idea to send either one or two warriors on a stealth mission in the twoleg place. We need to know more about these rogues, and what they want." She thought again of the ragged, grey cat, and of Sandfeather's face, full of malice.

Dawnpelt looked thoughtful as she as quiet for a moment. “ I just spoke to Hawkpool about her relationship with Duskwind. I hope that hasn’t effected their decision - this is a dangerous time,” she said, her voice sounding slightly worried.

Sunkit looked sadly at the old wound of Tigerstripe’s. “ Fighting is so scary,” she said. “ but I guess that’s why we have you to help us,” Sunkit smiled a little as she spoke.

Dawnpelt took a few steps into the den to where Flamestar lay, " The dawn patrol was more than eventful this morming, " she said, sitting near Flamestar. " We ran into a fox, but chased it into unclaimed territory. We gave it a good scare, it might think to hunt in less populated woods, " she said. " We also spotted a rogue watching the border in the two leg place. " Dawnpelt felt uneasy thinking about the look that the grey cat had given her. " It ran off when we spotted it, but I think we should focus our patrols near the two leg place more often."

Sunkit moved excitedly on her paws and looked over as Ashpelt entered. " Good morning!" She said cheerfully.

Dawnpelt smirked at Feathercloud's words, " I trust you, don't worry. " she meowed. " Feel free to hunt as you please on patrol, " she said, before padding away. She noted Duskwind sitting in a sunbeam, napping lightly, and walked by him, " Hunting patrol, " she said, as she headed towards Flamestar's den. Duskwind blinked awake, flicking an ear to show he heard.

Sunkit tilted her head, " I don't really know about kits and mates and stuff like that. " Sunkit mewed quietly. " But, I do like the smell of herbs, " she said, her eyes brightening.
