(lol when two headcanons clash and break the RP XD
cuz Rick is a character who wasn't transported into a different world, in my headcanon, the PMD world and the canon game world exist in the same world, and Rick just kinda woke up in his bed a lot smaller and exhausted from basically "evolving" into a pokemon
then again this isn't really canon so whatever XD)

Lan paused before speaking again, as if he was pondering something, but shook his head. "Wow, you really did lose your memory." he said. Rick was getting more and more suspicious as the conversation continued. Could this litten be like him? No, that's ridiculous. There's no way there's someone like him, much less they find each other by coincidence. Besides, he didn't lose his memory when he came here. (just gonna say that he assumes you lost your memory cuz you didn't deny it, just saying that in case Sam didn't lose her memory)

"Well, some pokemon are very... selective with their children. they want pure, flawless offspring so they can make more flawless offspring. But, when those pokemon give birth to a 'defect,' well... they either make their lives terrible, or kill them." Lan decided to stop there. Rick was now even more awkward, because he realized that this pokemon might pity him now for something that hadn't even happened to him. he just hoped she wont bring it up.
