(Salvator could have been standing far away from Venus and Clarissa, and not paying attention. Clarissa speaks quietly, so maybe not many people heard her. As far as your character would know, Venus shot the dummies, she walked back and now there's blood everywhere?)

Clarissa lets go of Venus's hand. There wasn't anything on her hand, so that was good.

She notices Zetia's smile. This was going to be a horrible year.

Clarissa watches Zetia fight. Clarissa couldn't see very well in the dark, but it didn't seem like Zetia got injured. Either she was incredibly good at dodging, or she was able to hide the pain. Both were skills that Clarissa didn't have. Clearly, Clarissa was far behind everybody else in basic skills. She wondered if she would ever catch up?

When Salvator goes, Clarissa considers going up and show her shoulder. That would be proof enough. Clarissa hesitates, not wanting to approach the teacher for something that might be frivolous. Just as Clarissa builds up her courage, Venus cuts her arm. Clarissa flinches at the sight of blood. How was Venus so calm? Clarissa concludes she would never be able to do that; she would never catch up.

Clarissa barely notices Harpy's power, only noting that Harpy also seemed to know what she was doing, and probably had practice flying. That couldn't be easy. Clarissa considers going over to Venus and making sure Venus was okay after cutting herself, but Clarissa feels frozen in place after that... demonstration.

Then, Venus shows her power. Clarissa feels a slight pang of jealousy and bitterness at watching Venus easily demolish five dummies, while Clarissa could be defeated by a single dummy. When Venus turns around, Clarissa immediately notices the blood from Venus's eyes.

Shocked, Clarissa runs up to Venus. "Your eyes are bleeding! Are you okay?" Clarissa says. She then shouts at Salvator, "Can you do something?"

Clarissa begins to panic - this was a major injury! She had expected some bruises and light cuts from this exercise, but nothing like this.

	"Thank you," Clarissa says to Salvator. Taking his advice into mind, she says, "I'll definitely try not getting injured again!" Then, the lights go out. What a perfect opportunity to get injured. Clarissa slowly moves toward a wall. She didn't like standing isolated in the dark. To the students introducing themselves, she says, "I'm Clarissa! Nice to meet you all!" [Read more]

Clarissa starts at the sudden contact from Venus, but she tries not to react further. It would be quite rude to push Venus away.

"Thanks... I'll try my best," Clarissa responds to Venus and Harpy, wiping away her tears with the tissue. Maybe this entire incident wasn't bad. Making a first impression as a skilled warrior would have been ideal, but as it was, Clarissa could meet her classmates, and get some much-needed advice and help.

To Salvator, she says, "I'm okay. Uh, a blunt training sword hit my shoulder."

Noticing his focus on her shoulder, she adds, "It hurts a bit to move it. I don't think it's anything major though..."

It definitely hurt more than "a bit", but Clarissa didn't want to cause too much trouble. This much attention was more than enough, even if it could be potentially useful.

Clarissa nods, and quietly says, "Thank you." Fixing her eyes on the floor, she sheathes her (now slightly dented) sword and returns to the group.

She feels the gaze of others on her. Hopefully, everybody would forget her by the end of the session. Tears well up in Clarissa's eyes, but crying would bring even more attention to herself. If they didn't think she was weak after her demonstration, they would definitely think she was weak now. So, she continues to stare at the floor and frantically rub her eyes before tears formed.

Clarissa lets the dummy make the first attack. It moves slowly; Clarissa has faced worse in training. She blocks the attack easily. Clarissa doesn't appear affected from the attack at all; the swords don't even make a sound when colliding. Clarissa moves back, and continues holding her defensive stance.

The dummy attacks several more times. There are a few near misses, but Clarissa blocks all the attacks.

Deciding that the demonstration has gone for long enough (especially since it probably was quite boring), Clarrisa moves in to attack. She changes her stance and her training sword begins to glow. Then, the dummy attacks. Clarissa doesn't anticipate the attack and fails to dodge. The sword hits Clarissa's left shoulder with a loud thunk.

Clarrisa swings her sword, but is off balance and misses the bulk of the dummy. She manages to hit the dummy's arm. The sheer force of the attack tears the arm off, sending it flying into the air.

Clarrisa quickly backs up again. She makes an effort to maintain a defensive stance, even as her left arm hangs limp.

"Should I continue the demonstration?" she asks. Her voice shakes.
