Marian lay shivering in a small snow clump. The blizzard last night was terrible, and after running away from home, all Marian did was find another house to lay next to. He couldn't leave the safety of the village, not with the wolves out there. He shivered again but at least he wasn't with his brother, Darm. Darm would abuse Marian and so that's why he ran away. He heard the howling again and whimpered, trying to get warm in the snow drift but to no avail. He couldn't ask anyone to shelter him or else they would take him back to Darm. Marian imagined his father with the noose trying to kill himself again, while Darm went looking for Marian to beat him. Marian shivered and bundled himself in the baggy sweatshirt his mother had given him on her deathbed. He fell asleep again, listening to the crackle of fire on the other side of the wall. Hopefully he wouldn't get frostbite here in Silversnow Keep...

Personality: Marian is a young boy who is pretty shy but opens up most of the time. He has an urge for friendship and adventure and would take a bullet for any of his few friends. He is loyal and kind but emotional and sensitive.
Appearance: Marian has tousled, maple hair. He has soft features on his face and has pink eyes of all things. His skin is peach colored and his hands are small and delicate. He wears a long sleeved brown shirt with a baggy red sweatshirt over it. He wears tight pants and brown sneakers.
Other: He has a brother who abused him until Marian ran away and his father is suicidal with a mother who divorced the father.

My eyes open. Blackness all around. Nothingness. Where... was I? I could tell I wasn't in my body. I looked at my hands but, they were just shadows. I laughed though I didn't know why. My mind was foggy, but the real world was there, somewhere at least, just right now, I wasn't in it. Suddenly the blackness morphed into an apocalyptic scene, catastrophe. A dirt beaten path led ahead. I could see a trail of blood leading the same way. All around me was fog, just murkiness and nothingness. I stepped foward and started to walk ahead. Kyu and, Rosaline, Anubis and.... Lutos and then, silouhettes? The names quickly faded. All of them. My mind was just, an empty jar. I could see clouds all around me, the thoughts of all the others. I saw Kyu with a bleeding bear, and Anubis with a woman, Rosaline with... a guy? Or... was this what I was thinking. I'm just a shadow......... a guy in a Shadow Trance... it happened when, I didn't know what else to do, when my thoughts became like reality to me. I walked foward, the blood getting thicker, and clumped together in puddles and then... the bodies. The bodies of blank faced strangers piled up around me and ahead.... just an endless, dirt beaten, bloody path that led to... nothing. Just more blood and a body here or there.... of people I started to recognize. I walked ahead.... seeing the bodies of Rosaline, and then Anubis and then.... Kyu. I got on my knees, though they weren't there and hugged her, the imaginary blood still managing to soak me. Was this, could this be... the future. "KYUUU!!!!" I screamed and jolted my head up. It was dark, and I was back in my dorm for some odd reason. My thoughts started to come back to me and the fighting had made me revert to my Shadow Trance. At least it wasn't.... well.... at least it wasn't real... not yet at least. I lay down, brushing Ilfir's back, and fell asleep.
