Title: Chapter 1: The War Signal"Oh look! It's miss loose-ten-times-in-a-row!" Roserade smirked as Meloetta glared at her. "You're a mythical Pokemon but still loose? How pathetic!" "It was never a beauty competition, what does talent mean?" Meloetta asked, glaring at her, "want me to look it up at the encyclopedia?" "But I have cooking skills!" Roserade gave her some pie she made as Meloetta ate it, it did taste good. Meloetta continued her glare, she didn't like Roserade one bit, "You have no talent!" Roserade pointed out. Meloetta growled as she threw the food on the ground she had left, it was half-eaten. "Excuse you!" Meloetta growled, "I can sing!" "Is that a way you treat someone who just gave you food?" Roserade sassed as Meloetta gritted her teeth. She will never forgive Roserade after she cheated in the last competition. She could have won, but she lost by twelve points to her comrade, Liligant. Even if it's nothing to other people, twelve points is such a bug number gap to her for just third place. ----- >> flashback << "Once upon a time, a very long time ago There was a close pair, sibling of high nobility The rest I'll leave omitted..." Meloetta began as the crowd was in awe. "Do it properly!" Meloetta suddenly yelled out in a deep accent. "The butler calls out 'Ascend to the throne! Ready, set, go!' I humbly accept the challenge with a knife and fork" Meloetta sung in a low, masculine tone. "After all, we are bourgeois, Splendid, utterly splendid aristocrats, yes we are!" Meloetta then sung in a higher tone, sounding like a girl. "Whoa, she's good!" Monferneo stated at one point in the performance. "True," Raichu added, crossing his arms. "Argh, I'm so annoyed! I'm seriously so annoyed! At this impertinent attitude towards me With a war cry sound the gong! With an outbreak of fights, it's a proclamation of war!" Meloetta changed the tone of her voice again to the low masculine tone and her emotion as well, she bawled her hands into fists as if angry at someone. The crowed started cheering loudly and started clapping, Monferneo grinned, "go Meloetta!" They watched her sing, at one point not being able to catch up with the tone of her voice, until it could be recognized. "It's part of the song?" Gallade asked, "I might rate her a 4/10 if she sung it that fast!" "It is, she let me listen to the song and it's really hard!" Lopunny stated, "In cause you didn't know, the song is called Childish War." "I act maliciously, I'm one step ahead of you. With this stance, I'm getting a chance. A regretful miss! Uh oh, uh oh. How unfortunate for you. You lose!" Meloetta sung out in the male tone as the song continued. "I wonder how she's going to sing this part?" Chatot wondered. "She let you listen to it as well?" Gallade asked as Chatot nodded. "She asked me about fast songs and gave her copy to me, Lopunny happened to be passing by and both of us judged it and said it was fine," Chatot informed Gallade, who simply nodded. "But you, only you, Hiya! Yah! Cha! Yah! Uh! Uh! Yah! Ha! Are a suitable rival for me. Hiya! Yah! Cha! Yah! Uh! Uh! Yah! Ha! Because failing and being forced to yield Uh! Ha! Hiya! Yah! Yah! Hiya! Ha! Would drive me mad. Tonight with you, hey hey hey hey..." Meloetta sung out as the crowd cheered, she has the recorded version of another voice so she can do only one argument. "Whoa!" Gallade was shocked, "I'm surprised!" "It's about two siblings fighting, of course she asked about the other voice record and I told her she could record it and she'll do the other argument," Chatot informed the two judges. "I already knew that, Chatot." Loppunny grinned at him as Chatot sweatdropped. "This was meant for Gallade," Chatot added, eyeing at Gallade. "I love this song either way!" Lopunny smiled, as she noticed her song was ending. "I cause mischief, I get carried away with it, C'mon, c'mon, with an agitating style, I'll humbly receive from one to 100. Thank you for your continued patronage, you lo- This can't be... It's a d-draw!? Eh?" Meloetta finished as they clapped for her, the entire crowed roared in cheers. Monferneo went backstage, "you were awesome! You'll get first place for sure!" "Hehehe, thanks!" Meloetta grinned. "You might as well win second or third, or maybe first if your lucky enough!" "I highly doubt that!" Monferneo scratched the back of her head, "you did way better than me with the fast song, what is it called?" "It's called Childish War," Meloetta answered, "it's a pretty fast song and supposed to be a duet, but since it's a single competition so I decided to sing it alone with the other voice recording of the fighting." "Are the singers fighting?" Monferneo asked, confused, "or is it part of the song?" "It's a part of the song alright!" Meloetta answered with a small grin. "Cool! Maybe both if us could sing that song, even if we get to do it," Monferneo scratched the back of her head. "We should, maybe in the future!" Meloetta grinned, "it's a deal!" However, Roserade cheated, she used attract on everyone before starting. She herself used it so Liligant could place above Meloetta. It attracted all the male Pokemon but not female or genderless. "She's such a good dancer!" Gallade and Chatot drooled and watched Liligant dance with petals flowing everywhere. "Wake up-slap!" Loppunny slapped Gallade and Chatot but it didn't work. "Hey! Roserade cheated!" One Pokemon growled, "she used attract!" "Yeah!" Another one growled, "Lunala would be angry at her!" "She should be!" Another one called out in anger. "Lunala's a girl?! I thought she was genderless!" Another Pokemon argued. "We call her a girl either way! It's like Meloetta who we mention a girl despite being genderless!" The small Pokemon argued. The judges calculated the scores, Lopunny can't do anything and wouldn't want to bring up a fight with the other two judges. Meloetta was twelve points behind third place. Lopunny looked at Meloetta sadly. Roserade, Liligant and Simipour are an invisible team, they won First and Third respectively. They couldn't get second unfortunately, as an Emolga had won it. ------ "Hahaha, but you lost by twelve points to get third place," Roserade sassed, snapping Meloetta out of her daydream, "like now, you'll loose again, you won't even reach tenth place!" Meloetta was aware of the Pokemon's Talent tenth anniversary, they made ten places. Meloetta growled lowly as she glared at Roserade. "We'll see!" Meloetta growled as Roserade walked away, she went off to find her team. "That Roserade," Monferneo passed by and bawled her fists, "in the name of Arceus, I will curse her!" Monferneo cursed something but quietly told this so no one would hear. "It's been like that since year one," Meloetta sighed, "ever since we first became rivals." "Hey, throw this at me, will you?" Monferneo asked as Meloetta nodded, throwing it at her as Monferneo sliced it in half with her tail. "Damn! Not yet perfect!" Monferneo face palmed and groaned, "I practice and practice and it's still not working!" "Practice some more and you'll get it! I believe in you Monferneo!" Meloetta smiled at Monferneo. "Gee, thanks!" Monferneo scratched her head as she gave Meloetta the other half. "Coconut?" Meloetta drank some as it has a rich flavor as Meloetta smiled. "Simple yet it's good!" Monferneo grinned as she left so that she can fix up the coconuts, her coconuts have some flavor in it. It's not like the regular ones you can get from the stores you would locally see. Meloetta went home to check what song she could sing, one so particular one was called "Hall to Fame." "Not a coincidence!" Meloetta looked at it, she listened to it with her Pokemon-styled headphones before agreeing to sing that song. She submitted it to the Pokemon's Talent. "ANNOUNCEMENT! DIALGA COLONY IS DECLARING WAR! I REPEAT! DIALGA COLONY IS DECLARING WAR!" The loud screams of a Pokemon echoed the village, scaring everyone. "W-why?!" One Pokemon started crying already. "They want more territory!" The one who had been screaming informed them. "But Dialga would allow that!" One Pokemon shuttered as the Pokemon who spread the news continued. "NOT JUST US! ALL OTHER COLONIES AS WELL!" The Pokemon screamed before repeating it, going downtown. "Not only us then, every other colony is threatened!" Another Pokemon gasped. "My family lives in the Mew Station!" An Aggron roared out loud, "they're in danger!" "We need military forces, COME AND JOIN!" Monferneo rushed towards Meloetta as she panicked, latching herself on the nearest tree. "Want do we do, Meloetta?" Monferneo asked, as her best friend (and crush), Raichu approached her. "Do you wanna join the army?" Raichu asked as Monferneo didn't know how to answer, she had a light blush across her face. Raichu tilted his head in confusion. "I'm joining the army!" A Wooper told them. He walked up in front of the crowd and tripped along the way, giving up he hopped there. "Ha ha ha! How could someone like you join the army?!" Ryhorn, the military assistant recruiter asked. "Weakling!" "Me too!" Beedrill stated, "don't judge us by our looks!" "We're strong!" Wooper yelled out, "we won the competition in Palkia's Kingdom once!" "We'll join too!" Another group of Pokemon yelled out. Ryhorn looked back as he noticed the Pokemon there. "Your participants of the... Pokemon's Talent!" Loppuny gasped. The Pokemon turned to her. "We'll protect the village, no matter what!" The group stated, composed of a Charizard, Wartortle and Bulbasaur. "Same here," Raichu pointed at himself, Monferneo and Meloetta. "M-Meloetta will join? It's too dangerous!" Ryhorn yelled out. "If it's to protect the village, I will do anything!" Meloetta yelled out. "But princess," Ryhorn stated as another group of Pokemon approached. "We'll join too!" Another batch of Pokemon, some of which are participating in the Pokemon's talent. "Ha! I'll take the crown now if you don't come back!" Roserade mocked, "I'm not wasting my life for some war!" "O-okay then, follow me!" Ryhorn walked away as they all followed Ryhorn. "Let me come," Chatot called out, flying with them going there. "Chatot, stay safe!" Gallade stated as Chatot nodded and flew with them. "Oh, please stay safe!" Lopunny put her hands together, praying that they would be safe and alive. "But isn't the competition like, in a week?" A Shinx asked Lopunny. "Yes, let's hope the war ends by then," Lopunny told the Shinx. "Why did Rhyhorn call Meloetta princess?" One young Pokemon asked, it happened to be a Togepi. "When out god Arceus created the world alone with Mew, he made several,colonies out of the god's names," Loppunny bend down and told Togepi. "Like Kyogre and Palkia?" Togepi asked as Lopunny nodded. "Each kingdom have a legendary guardian, ours is Meloetta, she's treated like a princess here but she wants to be treated like all of us," Lopunny explained to the Togepi as it tilted its head in confusion. "But why? My parents are from Kyogre's Force and the Pokemon there is Articuno, it's highly respected!" Togepi asked, "why does Meloetta want to be like a normal citizen in Lulala's Kingdom?" Naming the kingdom under Lunala as Lopunny smiled. "She just requested it, but she lives in a good looking tree house unlike Roserade," one Pokemon muttered, "she has a mansion!" "Is that the one?" Togepi pointed to the tree in the middle of town as Lopunny nodded. "She prefers being around nature and is really friendly," One Pokemon smiled, "but she also has weaknesses." what it was like To be in the Hall of Fame A Pokemon talent show was on going, it is it's tenth anniversary and the top 10 get to be in the Hall of Fame, with 3 being first, second and third get special prizes. Me, a normal Meloetta is good at singing but can never win, what I did was train up. But then, a war was ongoing. This was a time to hide, even the contestants wouldn't go. But to stand in the Hall of Fame, I'll do anything. Meet this Meloetta, she loves singing but cannot beat the other contestants, for the 10th anniversary of the tournament, they have ten places, seven will be in their Hall of Fame and the first, second and third places will get the respective prices, this Meloetta has been practicing and she participating since the very start. She is determined to win now. However, disaster strikes as a war was declared on that small town by foreign raiders, She looked back, the place where it's being held is also in danger.
