THE KINGSTONE CHRONICLES

Prologue

It was over. The battle finished. A peace treaty signed. So why did she feel like noting was right? Oh yeah. The spell. The spell that would ensure that no battle would ever have to be this horrific.

As the girl walked the bloodied field, a flurry of dark feathers surrounded her. “No…. Not now…” She muttered, her head turned upwards towards the grey sky. She opened one, bloodied hand, and blew. A swarm of glowing blue butterflies emerged from her hand. With her free hand, she pointed upwards and made an explosion like gesture. The butterflies obeyed, following her motion and spreading off to the four corners of the land.

The girl smiled, and closed her eyes, as the feathers drew nearer and swallowed her, a cruel screeching filling her ears.

Appearance:
Ebbon has whitish silver hair which reaches her waist and is usually kept up in a long braid or a bun for more practical work. She has an almost Latino complexion, and a small scar on the right side of her chin. Her eyes are a bright teal, but she has an ornate black eyepatch over her right eye with a white Dragon Opal set into the middle. She wears a long grey coat they reaches her ankles with neon blue sigils and symbols on the bottom. Underneath she has a pair of ripped leggings and a shortish pale blue skirt with similar symbols as on her coat, but in silver. A black v neck tank top and a utility belt that holds her magic items and daggers completes the look, and a silver necklace.
Personality:
Ebb can come off as quite cold and silent, but she's mainly just trying to get enough information to blackmail everyone.
Where did they come from?
Ebbon works mostly around the main kingdom.
Special ability or enchanted item?
Being a Dark Mage, Ebbon has many tomes and spell books, but her favourite is Carion's Darkness, a tome that unleashes curses and hexes on the opponent. However, the one flaw is that Ebb can't always control what happens. For examples, she might curse someone to be frozen, the spell might backfire and cause the person to have a common cold.
Class/Job:
She's a Dark Mage for hire. If you ask her why the 'for hire', she'll make it clear with a curse on your soul.

A small grumble from below rattled the temple, but it did nothing to wake the sleeping princess. A light trickle of snow fell from the sky, dropping down and landing on her face. The greying sky darkened the shadows, turning the once pure white snow and statues to a pale blue hue. A red clad figure stepped forwards from the steps of the temple. He chuckled softly. "My my, Zelda, didn't you choose your vessel well. Almost as beautiful as you!" He said into the air, then he brought forth a sword, intending to plunge it downwards, but a winged woman in a white dress intercepted it with her own blow. "Do not touch the Goddess's chosen one." She snarled, and raised a hand. In an instant, the red clad man vanished, and the winged woman smiled. She turned to Serena's sleeping form, and brushed a few flakes of snow from her forehead. She smiled, and planted a soft kiss on the girl's forehead. "Sleep well, young monarch. I will protect your dreams." She whispered, then vanished.
