Antoine thought that today would be another day to get back to grinding in his business as soon as he wake up. He freshened himself up, getting ready in his work outfit, eat his breakfast, and checked out of the motel that he had been staying in for the past few days. He was planning on leaving the town of Lyon today but as for the destination, he's still thinking about that. He grabbed the keys to his truck and got inside and started the engine. Turning on the radio while he drives out from the parking lot, he idly changed the stations until it stopped in a certain one; a news broadcasting station. To be frank, he isn't that interested in listening to the news- he'd rather listen to some music but it's a must for him nowadays, especially with how he's running with his... businesses. He wouldn't want to get caught up with those cops. Last time he was almost caught, he had to hide and cramped up for hours in a cardboard box before they finally left! The weather was hot today and there were more traffic than usual, so it isn't a surprise for him when he realize that he got caught up in the two. The latter was a more horrible one as he's stuck in the road with none of the vehicles moving. Must be a heavy traffic. The businessman could only sigh as he took off his hat and coat off, turning up the AC even more. Well, this can probably take an hour or so- might as well take a nap. Now, he wouldn't normally do this but... he couldn't help it, for some reason. It must be the heat getting to him and making him feel this drowsy. He wasn't even listening to whatever the news was saying at the moment. Now that he thinks about it... Chambéry sounds like a nice town to stop by. Maybe he should head there and offer his services to the townsfolk. As he let out a big yawn, he grabbed his hat, putting it over on his face, and leaned back against his seat. And with that, he fell asleep. ...He didn't know how long did his nap took but he's sure that it must be a pretty long one by the time he woke up, now wide awake than before. Antoine was expecting some cars behind him to honk at him by now since he noticed that it was later than before but to his surprise, he woke up to... none of those. He isn't hearing any of the engines of the vehicles roaring anymore. Is he hearing all of this correctly? Putting his hat on again, the radio that once played voices of reporters behind it was now static. He turned it off and looked outside. All of the vehicles stopped. There doesn't seem to be any drivers or passengers in sight either by the windows. He rubbed his eyes a couple of times and tried his best to look closely, not believing that any of this is happening. Is he... still dreaming? He pinched himself hard and hissed a little in pain. Nope, he's definitely not dreaming- and if he isn't, what on Earth is happening right now? Antoine heard something in the distance and decided that it was best to investigate whatever's happening. Putting his coat back on, he grabbed his truck keys and pocketed inside his coat. He got off of the truck and walked the silent highway when he spotted something by the middle of the bridge. As he passes by, he glances at the windows of the cars and what's only left of the passengers in there were their items; phones, bags, toys, snacks, books; whatever he can imagine. It felt eerie that it seems like he was the only person in this highway with his footsteps the only sound that he could hear. As he gets closer and closer to the thing that he noticed, he realized that... it's a portal. He isn't too sure if it really is but it sure does look like one. "What the..." Was everyone else gone because they got sucked inside of this portal? It could be possible. Where did this portal come from in the first place. Pondering, he took a few steps closer to inspect the portal and... he could hear voices coming from it. "Come and step forth into this realm." "You won't regret it." "Join us." ... It felt tempting, honestly. Antoine felt his mind momentarily empty as his body moved on its own, slowly getting closer and closer to the portal with each steps took. Those voices promised him with treasures and dreams that he himself could never think to achieve. It felt like a paradise. Only for a good minute. It was fun while it lasted though. He stopped himself before he could step inside of the portal. He lets out a small shaky sigh that he didn't know that he was holding before composing himself fully. "Hah...! And you think I can be easily fooled- I'm a businessman, for goodness sake! At least give me a contract to read over before I can agree. Your promises sounds impossible, as much as you're a portal." He scoffed before laughing a little at the portal while pointing at it. He doesn't know who or why he was talking towards it but it's whatever- there is absolutely NO way he's going to get himself to enter inside of that. The air soon changes and he could feel that the portal feels... somewhat disappointed at him but it's no big deal for him. Without a care, he was walking away and going back to his truck. ... However, he should've seen this coming. Antoine felt something grabbing his arms and soon his legs and entire body. He looked down to see multiple arms made out of light holding him tight. They forcefully dragged and pulled him with so much force that he didn't have time to react. All he could do is scream until he finally landed harshly onto the ground. It took him a moment to settle himself as he spits out a few dry leaves before he stands up and brushes himself from the grime and dirt. Damnit- He had just gotten this from the laundromat recently! He didn't know that damn portal could be THAT petty. He huffed out in annoyance before fixing his hat, finally looking around his surroundings. On second thought, this is way creepier than the highway just now. He finds himself in a dark foggy forest. There was neither no light from the sun nor songs from birds chirping as they fly up in the sky. It was all lifeless and reeks of bloody death. He gulped nervously, shaking his head when he felt the heebie-jeebies already. This is not good- he has no idea where he is and what this forest is located at. He had never seen a place so terrifying like this before. He quickly looked around him and noticed a person nearby him. He looked as lost as he was, which is good. At least, he isn't alone. There might be other people around in this creepy forest. He took a deep breathe and put on his business smile before walking over to the stranger. Title: MY FORM YYEEAAHHAge: 24 Gender: Male + He/Him Personality: Just by his appearance alone, you can already know a little bit about himself. When interacting with Antoine, he seems to be your typical slimy salesman that will approach you at your front door to offer you his services until you comply, which is accurate. To him, everyone that he sees are potential customers to his business, no matter who they are. He’ll use honeyed words to try and sway people to use his services. He’s excellent with choosing the right words so people whom he talked to are most likely convinced to be in a deal with them. For those who have rejected his deals, he will stay persistent and not give up until they give in unless he loses something from trying to gain a deal with them and depending on how it goes, he will either keep going or stop pursuing them. Antoine always considers the possibilities of what he can gain and lose and how it would affect him in the future, and so, he will cut loose on anything that can possibly block or hinder his path- it’s not worth it if he keeps it around. Unsurprisingly, outside of his businessman persona is a greedy, selfish man who was more than willing to do anything to get money. While he doesn’t trick people by getting people to pay him first for an item they wanted to buy but only for him to run away with it, he does so by negotiating with them. He only cares about himself and no one else in most situations as he believes that it’s a dog-eat-dog world; if you want to achieve success, then don’t bother caring for anyone else. Whenever he doesn’t act like his façade, he doesn’t mind jabbing people with insolent words and let himself be heard. Antoine is unconcerned of other’s feelings and acts as if everyone is trying to get him. Appearance: art by me!  Abilities/Powers: N/A, he doesn’t have any powers. Strengths: - Great in adaptability and negotiation. Antoine can easily adapt to sudden changes in his environment and he is also skilled with choosing words with people to agree to certain conditions with him. After all, this strength is very needed for his business. - Blending in. He is able to blend in within the crowd to keep himself hidden when he needs to. You almost wouldn’t see him anywhere in public if he does that. - Basic knowledge in medicine. He learned a bit about how to deal with an illness or injury thanks to his sister who studies and works as a nurse, being the one who he goes to when he needs any wounds to be treated. He knows how to, for instance, what to do with a stab wound, a minor burn, and which medicine to take for certain illnesses like a fever or a sore throat. He wouldn’t know what to do if the illness or injury is on the more severe side, however. He is only more aware of common injuries or illnesses. - Creativity. He is able to think outside the box in most situations and how to get out from there. It is thanks to this skill that he isn’t caught or arrested in the first place as he can come up with decent ideas on how to solve a problem. Weakness/Fears: - Doesn’t cooperate well with others. If you place him to team up with someone, chances are that Antoine would likely be beefing with said person. His personality would often clash with a lot of people because of how greedy and ill-mannered he is. - Too focused on doing it “my way”. Similar to the weakness above, Antoine heavily prefers to do things in his own way and refuses to accept other people’s suggestions. He could care less and boss them around instead. - Clumsiness. While he does try his best to not mess up, Antoine couldn’t help but slip up at times. In particular, his hands would sometimes be slippery and the object that he was holding would slip and if he wasn't lucky enough, would break from the impact. He tries to be careful because of this (but often fails miserably, to his dismay). - Weak in physical strength. Antoine wouldn’t be able to lift even a heavy grocery bag that easily. He would rather choose flight than fight, as he knows that he lacks in terms of physical strength. (i won’t reveal his fears… for now!!!) World: N/A, he’s an OC. Antoine was as confused as ever. Actually, should he be puzzled, when he's already has literal powers of being able to create things out of thin air right at his fingertips? That is already something out of the ordinary. The tycoon has already received those powers a while now and he thinks he has gotten used to it. Thinking about it, this would benefit a lot for his business or hustles, being able to provide all kinds of objects, that's what he originally thought. However, to his disappointment, it seems that he would have to get the idea on how it is created and such so his powers would be limited, and it would only take up his energy too if he were to use it. Sometimes, he would feel drained after multiple attempts on trying to figure out on how some products work. What a bummer. It was useless after all. Eh, he could care less about it. He could just focus back on handling his businesses like he normally would. Not much of a problem at all. He would prefer to not use it anyways, for some reason other than that. Just as soon as he was about to forget the whole powers thing, he suddenly spotted.. a portal one night. How strange. Antoine was in the middle of a sidewalk, going back to his home after attending a few meetings that has taken up hours of his day. He was feeling weary from it and wanted to hit the sack as soon as possible. Jeez, did the lack of sleep has already caught up to him now? Was he losing his mind? He doesn't know what are the answers for that. And for no reason, he started to approach towards the portal. Antoine doesn't know why but.. he feels drawn to it. Before he realized it, he was suddenly transported to whole another world. He didn't realize it either as it suddenly happens so fast that it took him a few minutes to process what's going on. What on earth did just happe- Oh dear heavens, where is he now?! Did that portal just- The tycoon began looking around his surrounding area, realizing that he's on an unfamiliar beach. He mostly thinks that he’s far more superior than anyone else or others who are around him. He truly thinks highly of himself as a person who's worthy of anything while for complete strangers, he would like to refer to their names similar to those who are poor. He is pretty much a complicated person too. Antoine can get easily angered most of the time and would be a difficult person to deal with. He would throw insults at those who spoke up to him or insult him in any way. He’ll be quite upset by that if things didn’t go as he has planned out. He would do anything to get what he wants, even if it means he’ll harm others throughout it. He doesn’t care about anyone but he only cares about himself only, as a selfish person would, and so, Antoine wouldn’t be a good person to work alongside with. His motives and morals are mostly driven by his greed and impulsive trait, hence he would manipulate others when he has the chance, just so his goals will be achieved in the end. The tycoon also has extreme trust issues as well, due to the past experiences he endured. He would quickly assume things in a person at first glance. He wouldn’t easily be convinced if you tried to explain yourself about it, not if he doesn’t have trust in you and all of those bad traits he already has. However, if you do manage to win and gain his trust, surprisingly, he’ll more than likely be more honest with you and more specifically, his emotions and feelings. Abilities: Antoine is able to create objects by his own hands, just as long as he has the knowledge on how it was made and what does it look like. Though, depending on the size of each objects he creates, it would cost him his energy. He doesn't talk much about his abilities and prefers to stay like that, due to his own reasons.
