	Smallpaw opened her eyes to Tigerpaw prodding her, asking her if she was okay. Her legs shook as she stood, and was lead to the apprentice den. Brownpaw curled up on her new nest, trying to stay as comfortable as she could, when she felt another cat curl up next to her. She looked over, and saw Smallpaw. She drifted off to sleep. Smallpaw couldn't believe what she was seeing. This was supposed to be one of the happiest days of her life, and yet, this was happening. Right in front of her. It was the first death she had ever witnessed. Just the sight of it hit her like a ton of bricks. The traces of sadness had turned into a waterfall. She couldn't take it. She closed her eyes, and didn't open them. she felt the thud of her body hitting the ground, and then, nothing.

When Dirtpaw saw her sister faint, she was shocked, and overwhelmed. Stoneflame had always been there for Smallpaw. When she was bored, Stoneflame would tell her stories. Dirtpaw watched as cats blurred past her, helping her sister. Her tail slumped and she trodded into the apprentice den, not wanting to have to watch anymore.

Dirtpaw excitedly jumped after hearing her mentor was Breezetail. She yipped and ran to her sister, who was sorrowfully scuffing the ground. "Ashpelt? I wanted Breezetail!!" Dirtpaw slumped back, realizing her sister may hate her for the next few days. She then saw Greenbush and his new apprentice, Tigerpaw, rush over to the elder's den.

Oh no.

Minutes later Tigerpaw streaked out, and told Flamestar to come with her. When they came back out, they were dragging Stormflame. Dirtpaw and Smallpaw gasped. This happy day had come to an end.

Dirtkit looked around the nest she would miss so dearly. Tonight's the night. This would be her last nap with her mother. Ever. She over stressed the situation, and ended up not getting a wink of sleep, only dozing off a couple of times. She was so nervous!

(I'm really sorry and don't mean to be rude or anything at all, but I haven't been able to say a lot cuz my are just kits, and I feel like this one day is going on forever. we dont have to, but could we speed up to the time they become aprentices?)

All day Smallkit played, nervousness creeping in her brain.

Smallkit looked at the sun, almost reaching the middle of the sky, right before noon. Smallkit bounced excitedly, and bounded up to Dirtkit, asking, "Are you excited to become an apprentice? Who do you think our mentors will be?" Dirtkit sprung up, with something in her eye Smallkit didn't see very often. Excitement.

"Of course I am! I hope my mentor will be Ashpelt or Breezetail!" While Dirtkit was mellow most of the time, just the mention of becoming a warrior excited her. "I'll miss our naps, though. And mama."

"I won't miss our naps! And, mom won't disappear. She'll just move back to the warriors den, and we'll see her all the time!" Smallkit said, barely able to contain her excitement.

	Smallkit played with Dirtkit until her mom called her in for naptime. Smallkit complained, "But mom, I'm not tired..." Her mom looked at her with only slight sympathy, since she pulled this card all the time. "Then you can go clean the elder's den." Dirtrkit collapsed at her stomach, already falling asleep. Smallkit groaned, but ended up sitting down and falling asleep. [Read more]

My eyes open wide to beams of light streaming the long leaves found by the river, which were now turning brown. Just like everything else, I thought. I prodded my sister, Dirtkit, and she opened her eyes sleepily and murmured, "What is it?" I pointed with my paw at the light. "It's morning! Morning means playing with your sister!" She grumbled and closed her eyes again, saying, "Go away."

I trotted outside the den, and found and old, brown mossball they had found by the river as well. I sighed and batted it around until the warriors woke up. "Happy sixth moon!" A warrior, named BendFur, told me. "Are you excited?" She asked, flicking her tail.

"Of course!" I replied excitedly, bouncing a little.

Silverkit looked up to the sound of her mother's name. "Spottedtail?" It was there leader, Diamondstar, and Silverkit quickly prodded her sleeping mother. "Mama," Silverkit said [I know Silverkit's parents are unknown, but I'm just gonna say that she calls her adopted mother "mama] "Yes, my dear?" Her mother looked at her with sleepy eyes ,most likely from staying up late again. "Diamondstar wants you." Silverkit looked at her mother for an answer.

She didn't show any signs of emotion when she said, "Ok" and paddded out to meet her.
