	It'd make more sense to add shading and details to each design. The blob is just there to serve as a base for the, really. Think of like the basic Pokéball being the base one on which all the others are made. Same concept. [Read more]

Riako: Yeah, like that. It might help to think about the form of the shape. Draw a blob that loosely resembles a human with arms and legs.

The main benefit of this is keeping things symmetrical. It also helps to keep track of the pixels; if one side has four red pixels for, say, a sleeve, give the opposite side four red pixels as well.

(This doesn't apply if you want to make things unique, like one side of the head having longer hair than the other, etc.)

	Ideally, it's best to just go with one sideways sprite (east or west) and make a separate mirror copy. South and north are two different views in comparison. (I'm not sure if that's what you did, so feel free to disregard if you already have.) Perhaps create a couple blank blobs as a base for the sprite - one for east/west, and one for north/south. Then just color it in as desired. [Read more]

	The wings on Articuno (Grassicuno?) look alright, though I think you could go with long blades of grass, or make the upper part of the wings thicker? Or, creatively, make the wings long branches that have leaves growing out of them. [Read more]

	I'd consider blending the pixels together, if possible. Don't do it too much, or it'll look really blurry. Just enough to make the pixels less obvious. Gradients can be fun when used correctly. Also, Aseprite. I like that program a lot. It's got a ton of options for different color palettes for different systems and a very nice interface. [Read more]

Peridot enters his room, closing the door behind him with a soft click. He set his bag and stone on the nightstand, collapsing into the bed to get some sleep.

His eyes closed, but he found it hard to actually get sleep - his mind racing from the disturbing news from earlier. The map pieces had been stolen? Who would have been brave enough to pull off such a thing without being detected?

Something about it didn't sit right with him, but he pushed the thought out for the time being.
