(OK thanks - sounds good! I'll get to it once I take care of a few things.)

(Perhaps now would be a good time to squeeze Beck back in? Sorry, I have been really busy with exams.)

(Sorry for not posting for a couple of days - didn't expect to be so busy. I will jump back in soon. Let's pretend that Beck has been living his everyday life unless something else has popped up that I should know about.)

After putting away his groceries, Beck remembered that he needed to pick up his mother's package. He groaned. Right when he was about to get on his computer, too. Steeling his motivation, Beck descended to the apartment complex's post. "Mr. Haller," the female clerk greeted him coldly. Old bat. The shut-in used to have a thing for her daughter, but that had changed rapidly once she found out how Beck lived.

Beck grunted as he lifted the package. He went to the gym a couple times a week, but that didn't help him much against the large box. His face turning red, he barely managed to hobble out the door and into the elevator where he dropped the burden. He took a minute's rest as his floor was found before resuming the awkward journey home.

The hacker finally finished shopping, waving goodbye to the old couple who owned the berry stand. They had known him for years; watching him grow up in Gotham. Beck always had a soft spot for them - even more so than some of his family. The two always gave him free samples and are the ones who spawned his passion for living a healthy life as a child. He hauled his bags up onto his shoulders, walking past the bank that was robbed yesterday. It was covered in yellow tape, and police cars still remained in front of it. Broken glass littered the ground. If Beck had gone any closer than the sidewalk, he was sure that he would inhale a lungful of dust.

Good thing any footprints he left were a distance from the site and any that were visible had been covered by debris from the explosion.

(@Draco I don't know when you were last here, but basically the Joker was locked in Arkham Asylum and was broken out by Glitch. Then, he met up with Midnight and made some kind of deal with Doomzenith. Now, Altessia is on patrol and is being confronted by Midnight.)

Beck walked to the market lazily, uncaring if people frowned at his frazzled appearance. His blonde hair was sticking in all directions and he smelled like he just walked out of the Clorox factory. The knee area on his pants was soaked through from kneeling on his freshly-mopped floor. He was, ironically enough, a cleanly mess. At least he appeared to be well-rested. He ran through the same motions as yesterday, meticulously choosing vegetables and other healthful goodies left and right. The shopping basket was identical to yesterday's. After all, he had to replace most of his groceries.

Beck was lucky that he was rich enough to pay for his college tuition many times over. Though it was a mystery as to why he resigned himself to a cheap apartment and casual clothes.

Beck had finally reached his final destination: the Kitchen. He wrinkled his nose at all of the grease spots and empty cans. How had he lived this way for so long? The man began to clean when suddenly he came to a realization. "Oh, no... I forgot to put the groceries away!" He had been so hooked into his task for the Joker that it had escaped his electrified mind. Looks like he would have to go out and buy more. After another hour and a half of scrubbing, he picked up his keys and prepared to begin another lonely trek to the Farmer's Market.

Beck stood proudly over his work. The living room was organized, clean, and spotless. Books had been placed by size on the shelves. His reflection shone on the TV and the window. There were no signs that vomit and food had been on the floor. Possessing the motorized vacuum was an easy task for the young man, and gathering the trash had been even easier. He had no idea that his simple apartment was home to so much junk! Beck hopped around to Star Wars: Title Song as he moved on to the bathroom.

Before long, that, too was flawless and mold-free. Is this what it feels like to be clean? Stupendous! With that, Beck found his new passion for cleaning.

Beck was on a roll. He hadn't cleaned his apartment in over a year, but the Star Wars soundtrack remixes pumped him up with energy he didn't even know that he had. He moved to toss his tenth trashbag into the ever-growing pile before the music stopped, and was replaced by "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley. Beck kicked the bag over in frustration as he checked the Caller ID - Jacob. He knew he shouldn't have trusted that troublemaker of a friend to set his own ringtone! Upset about being rick-rolled in the morning, and knowing that Jacob would try to call him again for hours, he decided to temporarily block his classmate's number. The only time Jacob texted was if it was something important. So if he was calling, then it must have been something pointless.

"There. That's better," Beck grunted as his 'nerd' playlist resumed.

(Good day, everyone! Just for clarification, Beck is neutral and takes the side of whoever is paying him.)

Beck woke up, his lean chest heaving with adrenaline. The musk of frightened sweat settled around his room. He hated having that dream, and no matter how many times he had meditated or attempted to have a lucid dream, it always came back. Beck muttered a few choice words before getting out of bed, checking his texts. He had two messages - one from the Joker, and one from... his mother? What? Why? His mother hadn't spoken to him in a little while. He opened it after seeing that the Joker had deposited the promised $500,000 for breaking him out of Arkham Asylum.

To: Me
From: Mom
Beck, I'll be at your place at 6 to pick up a package! Be ready to eat!
Received 11:02 AM

The blonde groaned, knowing that he would have a huge mess to clean up. And 'huge' was no understatement. Piles of books, boxes, and clothes littered nearly every square foot of his home. One couldn't hope to walk in a straight line without tripping. A puddle of vomit from last night lay rancid. Beck gave a large sigh in hopes that he would fall into the sigh and not have to clean up. But that didn't work. Reluctantly, the young man pulled out a trash bag and got to work.

(Sorry for the weird dream and all. I just need something to roleplay to pass the time.)

Mechanical parts snapped into place. Joints locked with screws and plates of metal bended and broke. Light bulbs fastened themselves into intricately-organized places, gears beginning to tick. After some more transformation, Dream-Beck had been replaced with something that couldn't be called Beck at all. It has no jokes to tell, and very little thoughts to process. It could barely move and it did not resemble him in the least. It was a robot.

And no, it was not those cool cyborgs featured on TV. It was your stereotypical boxy, oversized toy robot. Complete with fire truck red paint and some lights that only served as a function to entertain children. It tried to look down at its pincer-like hands, but found that it couldn't because there was no neck to bend. Slowly, a rectangular arm with no elbow joint brought the hands up to its glowing oval eyes, locked into the position for a solid minute as its gears worked hard to free themselves.

It didn't register any panic and simply watched the hands not unlike a Lego figurine descend. It couldn't register any emotion aside from Beck's metallic fear. He didn't want to be an "it." He didn't want to lose his humanity. Being trapped inside a mechanical prison forever was worse than death to him. But those thoughts remained unthought as the straightlegged robot marched directly into the light.

After running through two full-length elevator songs, the light finally hovered directly in front of Dream-Beck. "You may enter," the light resonated before expanding a little. He moved to enter, but then he remembered that he couldn't move. And of course, he could not explain that to the light. Dream-Beck and the light stood at an impasse for the duration of another elevator song.

"Come on! What's taking you so long?" The light's voice was annoying him. Irritated, he tried to project his thoughts - anything to get him on the move. He tried to imagine his own body. He tried to imagine himself as a light. He even tried to imagine himself as a polar bear. Now it was the light's turn to make fun of him as it waited for him to find his form as an eerie version of the Jeopardy music began to play.

"You know what you are. Hurry up and change into it," it chided the man. As if by magic, a terrible idea popped into Dream-Beck's mind. He felt his emotions beginning to dull as he became something that was not human. The chunk of space that was formerly Dream-Beck was now beginning to warp into clunky matter, electricity crackling with melancholy. It hurt. A lot.

Beck's dream opened with absolutely nothing. Literally. Dream-Beck was floating in a void, but at the same time, when Dream-Beck looked around, he couldn't see his own body. Did such transparency mean that Dream-Beck didn't exist? The fact that he could overthink about a dream meant that he existed, confusing Dream-Beck greatly. He spun around as a light began to come into his view, gravitating to him slowly.

"Beck! Beck!" it called with a familiar female voice. He would've answered if he had a mouth. Instead, he waited for the light to come over. Seriously? Couldn't it come over any faster? Beck's subconscious generated the Jeopardy! waiting song, causing him to mentally cackle. It boomed over the desolate landscape, the iconic tune making the randomly floating particles shiver. The light stopped at the sudden music, blinking to the rhythm.

"Can you make this music stop? I am feeling really pressured right now," the light whispered. Dream-Beck let it play for another minute before terminating it and replacing it with some classy elevator playlist that he had found on YouTube. "Much better," the light said as it continued its snail-paced journey through the void. Dream-Beck groaned inwardly.

Beck heaved on the floor once more, adopting the fetal position inside of his own puddle of sick. He would have been disgusted, but was too focused on the pain to notice. After another five minutes he managed to pick himself off of the floor, crawling to the bathroom and washing it all off. Beck grunted as he rubbed the bruised spot from earlier's explosion. He felt terrible. He knew he was a mess. The young man half-crawled-half-lunged onto his bed, passing out the instant his weary blonde head hit the pillow.

"Sounds good to me, old man. Just leave it in the virtual mailbox I sent you. I'll pick it up laterzzzz..." He mused before his connection began to break. It was time to go home. "See ya," was all Glitch said to the duo before tearing himself out of Arkham and blasting the crazy race home. It felt like the longest journey of his life, but eventually, he found the welcoming doors of his computer.

Without hesitation, Glitch rocketed back into his physical body, feeling the need to breathe again. Oh, how nice it is to have lungs! He opened his hazel eyes and stated gratefully at his pale hands. He looked again at the clock. Time for bed. The hacker made a move to walk to his bedroom, but was only able to stagger a yard before vomiting on the floor.

"Ugh." This was no new experience, though he had hoped that he would never have to experience it again. His abrupt return has caused an imbalance of electrons in his body, installing unknown data and inducing shock. Beck fell to his knees, withstanding the paralyzing pain that made his limbs twitch. He groaned.

"I'll do my best." One by one, the guards began to collapse - thankfully, Glitch had been able to electrocute them before they could land a shot on his client. He could see his bank accounts growing by the cent. At this point, Glitch was starting to become fatigued and debated on whether to leave or not. Next time, he needed a warning so that he can be properly rested. Even though he had separated from the needs of his physical body, the soul also tired at a slightly slower rate. Though it tired all the same.

"Done."

"All right, all right! Have it your way. By the way, the password was 'open sesame.' Easiest password out there." The robotic male voice said choppily, holding none of the intended sarcasm. The door swung open as if by magic, the electrified bars buzzing in response. Beck, or Glitch as he was called in his superpowered state, made sure to linger in the system in case Joker needed him. Glitch double-checked to make sure that all guards in the vicinity were down and that the cameras could not be repaired. "Anything else?" the Google Translate-like monotone spoke again.

(Welcome!)

Beck knew that he would have to limit himself on this one. He was very tired, and didn't want to risk knocking himself out and waking up in a foreign power system. It wasn't worth it. Weighing his options and thinking about money, the young man began to concentrate. Cameras. Check. That was easy enough. The satisfying click of dying power channels would've made him laugh if he had a mouth. Next... the guards or the electrified bars? If he did the bars first, then he could potentially smite any guards who were currently touching the bars of any cell. That would save him from having to spend the rest of his energy frying them up with their own tasers and radios.

Beck made the bars vibrate with electricity. Power began to radiate in the air as a few surprised yells echoed through the night. Any other guards inside the building were now either paralyzed or unconscious. A good, silent job. He would've patted himself on the back if he had hands. His power levels decreased slightly, but resurged with a burst of willpower. "Say the password and I will open your door," he joked playfully to his client in the voice he liked to call "male Siri".

(I assume he meant to get rid of the cameras and the guards, right?)

"Of course." Though the two men had never met face-to-face, he could hear the smile in the Joker's voice. Beck had never shown his face to any one of his clients, and always concealed his identity. The only pictures any client had seen of him were his filtered profile pictures on social media. A college kid could have some fun, right? "Where it exists, so can I." He clicked on the helmet and a few programs to ensure that nothing could track him. And so that he could wake up, of course.

"Here I go!" Beck dropped the phone, his physical body collapsing lamely on his desk. A tremendous surge of electricity erupted from his body, turning into a thin sliver of lightning as his supercharged soul entered the computer. Racing faster than the speed of light, Beck dodged firewalls and angry series of zeroes and ones. The signal from Joker's phone was like music to him, his wiry new form pulsing to the beat. Finally, he was there at the facility. "I'm here. Brace yourself," a computer-generated voice crackled at the Joker.
