Aurora smiled. "Sure Keori. I'll see you later in our dorm." She happily smiled and watched as Keori walked back into the halls, most likely to their dorm. Aurora was so happy that her dorm roommate was so kind and nice. She quickly pulled out her phone and texted her concerned parents, saying 'I'm doing great mom and dad. My roommate is very kind and sweet. Take good care!'
She then grabbed her bag and headed to her dorm room to catch up to Keori.

'OMG! I love sushi. It's so good." Aurora grinned in reply and said, "Thank you. My favorite colors are blue and pink. But pastel versions of pink and blue." She than picked up a piece of sushi and put it in her mouth. The sushi was delicious! The flavor was a mix of avocado, salmon, and cream cheese. Her favorite kind of sushi. "How long have you been playing the flute?" Aurora asked to Keori, still with a small bit of food in her mouth.

‘Hey.. do you have any siblings?’

"Uhm, Well, I had 6, but now I have 4"
Aurora didn't normally bring up the topic of her siblings, considering two of them were deceased. But it felt like she could trust Keori. Her little 5 year old brother, Rio, was killed by a assassin, and her 16 year old sister, died trying to save him."Two of them were killed by an assassin. My 5-year old brother Rio, and my 16 year old sister Sakura were that old when they were murdered. Actually, today is Rio's birthday. He would've been turning seven."

Aurora clicked a few apps on her phone and opened up her Monstagram account. She had a few pictures of her whole family together, about 3 years ago. She looked so young, so innocent, and so unaware. "This is the last family picture of my whole family, before the murder."

"It's okay. Even though I miss them, it is as it is. You know, you actually remind me a lot of my older sister Sakura. She was very energetic and always cheered us up. She had a very outgoing personality. Actually, she's the one that taught me how to play the flute. I miss her a lot." Aurora sighed and put her phone in her pocket.

"Sorry, I brought the mood down. Let's get something to eat. Do you want anything?" Said Aurora, bringing a smile back onto her face.

"Yes! I'd love to go to the dining hall. Can you come with me? I don't really seem to know my way around this massive school." In her head, Aurora was so relieved that Keori wasn't rude or snobby. In fact, Keori seemed to be one of the nicest people Aurora had ever met. "Let me just quickly brush my hair. It's a tangled mess, and I don't want to have to force a brush through my hair while eating." Aurora said and quickly ran over to her small vanity, where she quickly brushed her hair out. "All right. Let's go!" Aurora excitedly jumped to her feet and hopped to the door.

As Aurora walked through the long and narrow hallways of Nevermore Academy, more thoughts filled her head- most, not being the most positive. She was terrified. On the first day of school, anything could happen. She gathered up some courage to open her envelope stating her roommate and where her dorm is. She was shocked when the paper said that her dorm was in Ophelia hall. Neither of her parents had their dorms in Ophelia Hall. Her mom was a werewolf and her dad was a shape-shifter, just like her. She also really hoped her roommate, Keori Madison, was nice. Maybe, they could become friends!

As soon as Aurora stepped into the dorm room, it burst with bright, shades of blue. Aurora couldn't help but break out in a grin. Her favorite color to do anything was blue! Maybe, she and Keori had a few things in common. She looked around the room, and she saw that her side was undecorated. She thought, "All right! Let's start unpacking, and decorate this room." She got right to work, and when she finished, she thought the result was the prettiest room she had ever had. She had one last thing to add. Her favorite blue bunny plushie that she had since she was four. She didn't care so much that she was fourteen, it reminded her of a happier time, when she was so young and innocent, before she realized she was a shape-shifter. She sighed, put it on her bed, and sat down in her desk chair. She turned on Boo-Tube, and decided to jam to some music while dusting down the surfaces in her room.

When she looked at Keori's side of the room, she realized that Keori had been there for a while. Maybe she didn't here her while she was cleaning her side of the room. She walked up to Keori, and said, "Hi! My name's Aurora. I really like your name. Keori is such a nice name." She hoped Keori wasn't snobby and rude.

As Mi Mi woke up, she quickly got dressed, grabbed her small dagger on her window, put it in her pocket, and ran off to the park. She had to get there before she ran out of time. She sprinted out the door, and as she did she grabbed Orchid. She knew that there was going to be a lot of ghosts there, and she wanted to see if all her friends decided to stay. Mi Mi looked over at the dark moon rising. She slowly stroked her pet cat, Orchid, and sighed. Being in the Afterlife wasn't as fun as being alive. The food wasn't very good, and she wanted to feel the warm sun on her skin and a fresh breeze making her long hair unravel from its loose braid. Mi Mi really wished that she had chosen to leave the Afterlife. But it was home. Well, at least it is now. She couldn't leave the Afterlife without her friends too. She would miss them too much. Mi Mi just sighed again and decided to go to bed. She set Orchid down, and slowly walked over to her soft, pink bed. At least the beds were decent in the Afterlife. She closed her eyes and went to sleep. She then woke up a few minutes later. She was still against sleeping, considering that she was murdered in her sleep. But in the end, she reluctantly fell back asleep.
