Phoebe continued to find some grass type but so far no luck, "Gosh, there's no sight of the grass type Pokemon guess I have to head out east in the Viridian Forest", Phoebe walked up east and continued the search of grass type Pokemon, though it might be a while for Phoebe to add another teammate to her team, "Come on Arizona and Hubie", Phoebe said to her Pokemates.

"Wha-what happened here-?" Indigo questioned. They took a long look at the desert before them, partly confused and also kinda scared. Looking at the weedle made her stomach turn, so they stuck to the group, holding Pecan tightly, who wasn't too excited about that.

Phoebe looked at Indigo and responded, "It seems that the bug and grass type Pokemon have been injured and that's all I know", Phoebe answered then Hubie tugged on Phoebe's shirt as if it were to show something serious. "What's going on Hubie", Phoebe asked then Phoebe ran up and saw a Bellsprout, "Oh no!", Phoebe said, then she told Arizona and Hubie, "Arizona and Hubie don't attack that Bellsprout, I think it's lonely", so Phoebe thought carefully and used a Potion to help this Bellsprout once healed Phoebe used the Pokeball and the silhouette of the Bellsprout entered the Pokeball, the pokeball shook once, then the Pokeball shook twice and then it shook the third time and soon it clicked. Phoebe smiled and she turned to Hubie the Piplup and Arizona the Nidoran female, "Thank you Hubie and Arizona, another teammate has joined our team which is Bellsprout".

Darryl rested for the night at the Pokemon Center before continuing onwards to Viridian Forest, or what was left of it; the whole place had been decimated by some external force. "What happened here?!" Darryl asked with a mix of awe and concern "It looks like a group of Salamence passed through!". Darryl proceeded with caution, resting one hand on Borealis' Poke Ball. Eventually, Darryl came to one of the few remaining sections that still resembled a forest and decided to take a rest. Unfortunately, a Scyther, an already aggressive Pokemon further agitated by the encroachment on its mostly ravaged habitat, attacked. "Great, just when I decided to take a break, Come on out Borealis!".

Borealis: "Frigi FRIGI"

"Use Powder Snow!" Darryl cried but even though he had the type advantage, Darryl was still struggling with the Scyther. In a last resort, Darryl pulled out a mysterious crystalline ball out of his pocket. "Guess I've got no choice but to Terastalize in order to beat this thing!". Darryl then activates the Tera Orb but it doesn't work, "Huh, my Tera Orb's already depleted?! Well I guess we aren't in Paldea, so I'll be without Terastalization for a while, Borealis keep using Powder Snow!"

Borealis: "Frigi BAXXXXXXXXX"

After a grueling battle Borealis eventually triumphs and defeats the Scyther with one final icy blast. Darryl proceeds to heal up Borealis with a Potion and continues on his journey through the decimated remains of the forest until he saw a familiar face in the distance. "Oh, its the girl with the Piplup, Phoebe I think her name was and there appears to be more people with her. Well there is safety in numbers, cmon Borealis!". Darryl proceeds to make his way to the gang, who are still in shock at the ruin in front of them "It seems we meet again Pheobe!" Darryl exclaimed with a mix of relief and joy, "and who might these people with you be, anyhow I gotta warn you, some of the Pokemon in the forest have been REAALLLY territorial. Nearly got my head taken off by a Scyther!"

Phoebe turned around and saw Darryl, "Oh hello Darryl, I'm shocked that Scyther almost got you", Phoebe said. Hubie the Piplup, Arizona the Nidoran female and Lotus the Bellsprout looked at Darryl wondering what is going on, "As you can see it seems that the Viridian Forest is turning into a barron wasteland, also if you are in the need of teammates, here are some poke balls that you can use", Phoebe said as she handed 6 Poke balls to Darryl.

"Thanks for the Poke Balls!" Darryl chuckled "Been running a bit short on stock, I do see that there are other trainers with you. The more the merrier!", Darryl said in an attempt to lighten the mood but to no avail. "From the looks of it, you have at least some idea of what happened to this place; you there, with with the blue hoodie and the Eevee, you look like you've seen a ghost!"

as Umbro entered the forest all he saw was a huge crater no trees at all "what could have made this" he said while looking at his eevee "i did hear about a pokemon that destroyed entire cities i just cant remember his name" he said to himself he saw a kid around his age standing there in the middle of the forest "any idea what happened here?" he asked

after training for awhile in the forest with the few pokemon still strong enough to fight Umbro Has heard a noise comming from behind one of the little remaining trees in the forest he went to look what was there a saw a particularly small seedot standing there paralyzed with feer Umbro went to the seedot and told him "no need to worry little one im nog going to hurt" and slowly taking a pokeball from his bag he threw the pokeball then he threw the pokeball and
"Klick klick klick ting" seedot was caught Umbro was amused "i didn't even knew there were seedot in kanto well i guess its good for us" he said to eevee

Phoebe along with her Poke teammates Hubie, Arizona and Lotus continued to locate the alternate exit, but to the surprise she sees a Bug Trainer nearby, "Excuse me trainer, shall I challenge you to a battle?", Phoebe halted and answered, "Bring it on". The Bug Trainer was excited and introduced himself, "The name's Evan, Evan the Bug Trainer if you need some training and battling you got it, go Caterpie", the Bug Trainer threw the Poke ball and in comes the Caterpie. "Hubie, let's do it", Phoebe said as Hubie got out. Bug Trainer prepared to make its move, "Caterpie used String Shot", Caterpie used the move but Phoebe said to Hubie, "Dodge it Hubie", Hubie luckily dodged it. Then Phoebe thought of the next move, "Hubie if you are ready use Pound", Hubie used the move Pound on the Caterpie and it did the damage on Caterpie, but it stayed alive for now. "Caterpie use Tackle", Caterpie used tackle on Hubie the Piplup which did little damage, this was a wake up call for Phoebe. "Hubie use Pound one more time", Hubie ran away and used the Pound move on Caterpie which did damage and the Caterpie fainted, "Caterpie no", Bug Trainer Evan said. Phoebe was happy that she won the battle, Hubie the Piplup was happy as well then it leveled up to learn a new move, "Hubie, you learned a new move called Bubble", Bug Trainer Evan used the Poke ball and the silhoutte of Caterpie disappeared back into the Pokeball then he went to Phoebe and took out his hand, Phoebe shaked Bug Trainer Evan's hand and the Bug Trainer Evan said, "Congratulations!", and Phoebe said, "Thank you". Phoebe continued her adventure with her Poke teammates, then Phoebe thought of something, "I wish there were some flying type Pokemon there, maybe in the next route it will appear".

With not much left to explore in the remains of Viridian Forest, it would be wise to leave through the entrance and take the intended detour to Pewter City. Lined with trainers, the road would be a little challenging, but some good training.

Marcia finally walks out of the forest, alone, contemplating the situation as she takes her injured Weedle to the Viridian Pokemon Center. After healing her team up, she decided to take Weedle out of it's ball to formally introduce herself. Clang! The PokeBall opens, revealing a teeny tiny female Weedle. "Well, hello there! I'm-" Marcia got cut off by the Weedle's immediate aggression, swishing it's tail towards Marcia. Barely avoiding the attack, she steps farther away from the agitated bug Pokemon before trying again. "Ok. I know this is new for you, little sweetie. It must be really hard to have your home taken away, then to go somewhere new. But I'll tell you a secret, sweetie, I'm in the same boat as you. I lost my home too. We're both new to this place, and both a little scared, though neither of us want to admit it. So, let's at least face this together?" Marcia asks the little bug. Shelly is standing alongside her trainer, half out of fear and half out of solidarity. Wee... wee...! The Weedle puts away its stinger. Marcia smiles, then giggles a little. "I know you're gonna evolve into a big scary bee, but you're just a little sweetie, Sweetie!" she giggles. The Weedle, who was now accidentally named Sweetie, spins in excitement.

"Alright! Let's do this together, guys! Starting wiiiith..." Marcia checks her PokeDex. "Our first gym badge at Pewter City Gym!" Her happy demeanor was back, She was ready, not just to take on the Kanto region, but whatever has been destroying it.

Indigo, somewhat surprised Marcia's enthusiasm and confidence said, "Wait, wait, shouldn't we wait for taking on a whole gym? Pecan and I need a little more training, but if you guys are ready I guess I can't stop you."

Phoebe looked everywhere to see if there was a pathway to the alternate exit, but no luck so Phoebe thought carefully, "I guess I must exit from the entrance way then", Phoebe said. Along with Hubie the Piplup, Arizona the Nidoran female and Lotus the Bellsprout returned to the path that was the entrance, going southeast Arizona the Nidoran female noticed something interesting, Arizona sees the oran berry and grabbed the Oran berry, Phoebe looked around and said, "Arizona, what did you find?", Arizona dropped the Oran Berry and handed it to Phoebe, "It's an Oran Berry, thank you Arizona", soon she was joined by Marcia and her Poke Team mates.

As Umbro eevee and seedot found their way to pewter city Umbro brain stormed ways to defeat the gym in pewter city he could try to battle mainly with seedot for the type advantage and eevee for heals with the move wish or he can weken the pokemon with seedot and finish with eevee to level them both up from the gym he guessed he will just have to go there and hope for the best

Marcia turns her attention towards Pheobe and Indigo. "I guess you're right, Indigo! According to my handy-dandy PokeDex..." click! the PokeDex opens, "Weedle evolves pretty early on. Maybe we should fight those trainers on the detour before moving ahead, huh?" Sweetie the Weedle twirls in anticipation- this was a feisty little bug!

(Sidenote, yall can feel free to write out every battle but I really ...do not want to... so I'll probably summarize unimportant trainer battles for myself!)

Phoebe thought carefully and decided to battle some trainers in the detour area, as she made her way Phoebe sees another Bug catcher, "Well, I see a trainer, the name's Alex I guess it's time to battle then", Bug Catcher Alex said. Phoebe knew she was ready for another battle, "Okay, here it goes", Phoebe said. Soon Bug Catcher Alex threw a Poke ball and a Caterpie appeared, "Caterpie, let's go", Bug Catcher Alex said then Phoebe said, "Hubie, are you ready?", Hubie nodded in agreement. Bug Catcher Alex started off, "Caterpie used String Shot", Caterpie attempted the move but Hubie dodged it, then Phoebe said, "Hubie, let's try Bubble", Hubie used the Bubble move for the first time then bubbles appeared and attacked the Caterpie which did some damage, soon the Caterpie fainted. "Caterpie, no!", Bug Catcher Alex said but he had another Pokemon, "Luckily, I got one more Pokemon to use in battle, Ledyba let's go", Bug Catcher Alex said as he threw the Poke ball and out came a Ledyba, "Wow, this is a first time that I see a Ledyba, Hubie return, let's go Arizona", Hubie nodded and Arizona the Nidoran female was ready for battle.

Darryl, despite being a lover of adventure, recognized that the dangers of Viridian Forest were too much for him so he decided to turn back and take the detour to Pewter City. Although there were many trainers on this path, Darryl and Borealis were able to defeat them with moderate ease and make it to Pewter City. "Was about to take on the Gym Challenge in Paldea but this should be a good substitute until my time here in Kanto is up" Darryl said to himself. "now lets see what this gym's type is.. ROCK?!" Darryl exclaimed, "Borealis here is an Ice type, I doubt he could take on this gym by himself, lets see if I can catch something". After silently thanking Phoebe for giving him Poke Balls, Darryl backtracked to Viridian City and then West to Route 22. "Heard there is an outbreak of Mankey here, wonder if I can find one". Eventually Darryl managed to find a lone Mankey in the grass and proceeded to do battle with it. "Borealis! Use Powder Snow!"

Borealis: "Baxxxx!"

The attack managed weaken the Mankey but it would not go down without a fightand it proceeded to retaliate with a powerful Karate Chop.

Mankey: "manKEEEYYYY"

After a few more attacks traded, one of Borealis' Powder Snows managed to freeze the Mankey and allow it to be easily caught. "I think I'll call you Rebel". With his new partner caught Darryl proceeded to make his way back to Pewter City to heal up, get acquainted with his new Mankey, and prepare for the Pewter Gym.

eventually Umbro decided that it would be best to train before fighting the gym he went back to fight some of the trainers in the previous routs as he battled the trainers his seedot evolved into a nazleaf so he felt confident he could beat the gym but he still felt like he was missing something he needed another team member and he knew exactly what pokemon he wanted he wanted a magicarp one of his favorite pokemon was mega gayrados so he looked around the river in Veridian city and found himself a magicarp after a few minutes of chasing it he finally caught it now he has three team members eevee nazleaf and magicarp and he is ready to beat the gym in pewter city but before that he may need to wait until morning because the gym will probably not be open at night he went to the pokecenter to sleep a little and wait to morning

As the battle continues on, Phoebe took her turn, "Arizona use Tackle", Arizona ran and used the Tackle move on the Ledyba which did some damage, the Ledyba used String Shot but missed, soon Phoebe made her move, "Arizona use Tackle", Arizona the Nidoran female ran and used the Tackle move which was a critical hit on the Ledyba and soon the Ledyba fainted. Arizona the Nidoran female was happy and Hubie cheered as well, "Yes", Phoebe said. Bug Catcher Alex said, "I lost this battle, hey trainer here's some Oran Berries for your adventure as a thank you", Bug Catcher Alex gave some oran berries to Phoebe and shook hands with her, Phoebe knows her adventure must continue on.

Teo lingered a while longer at Viridian Forest, examining the destruction and taking notes, interspersed with the occasional encounter with a wild Pokémon. After some time elapsed, he felt a tug and looked down to see Berry looking mournfully up at him. “Oh, you must be hungry, huh, buddy?”

He supposed he had lost track of time. The magnitude of the destruction was just so unusual for the area, though... he had to admit, he was very curious—not to mention a bit apprehensive—as to the cause. Teo returned Berry to his Poke Ball and trekked back to Viridian City, making sure to get a treat for his Pokémon. While Berry ate, he checked his map, confirming which path he needed to take. After the Bulbasaur was energized and ready to go, Teo and his partner Pokemon set off towards the detour to Pewter City, ready to face whatever trainers stood in their way.

Pewter City was just past the detour. Full of attractions, the main two being the Museum and the Gym, it's easy to find something to do in the Rugged Mountain City. To the east, the exit towards the next Route was blocked. "Some reallll powerful (and unusual....) Pokemon past these parts, ye know. Only trainers who could beat Brock can pass through 'ere!" a rugged officer would say to novice trainers trying to pass through. While the Museum might hold insight into what happened in Viridian Forest, will the pursuit of a shiny new gym badge be too great a temptation?

Brock's Team:
1. Geodude (with Tackle, Defense Curl, and Rock Throw)
2. Onix (with Tackle, Screech, Harden, and Rock Tomb)

Marcia battled her way through the trainers on the detour, combining the power of her Squirtle's Water Gun with Weedle's Poison Sting to beat the Youngster and Lass Trainers. It was a bit of a slog, but she made it all the way to the last trainer without too much issue. "Sweetie, let's finish this battle! Use Poison Sting!" Marcia had been in this particular battle for a while, due to the Youngster's tricky Pidgey. It was now just her Weedle against a weakened Pidgey, and Marcia was nervous. "He has a clear type advantage on me... shucks!" she thought. "Pidgey, dodge Poison Sting and use Gust!" the trainer yelled. "Oh no!" Marcia gasped. The Pidgey gracefully avoided the Poison Sting attack before sending a Gust towards the little Weedle. Weedle, however, did not want to go down so easily. With a glow of light, Weedle had evolved into a sturday Kakuna! When the Gust attack finally came her way, the newly evolved Sweetie took the Gust attack in stride with her new armored shell. "Oh, Sweetie!" Marcia gasped in glee. "You evolved! Alright, send out one more Poison Sting to finish this battle off!" The stunned trainer said nothing as his Pidgey finally went down, and Marcia could finally pass through into Pewter City. "I knew you evolved early, but you really saved our battle, Sweetie!" The Kakuna swayed with pride as the two headed to the Pewter City Pokemon Center to heal up, especially sinced Shelly was fainted from that last battle. After healing her Pokemon, Marcia formulated a plan. Opening her Pokedex, she examines Pewter City's map. "Well, the museum sounds interesting! How does that sound?" Shelly and Sweetie both groaned-- a boring museum? No thanks! "Oh alright. I know you guys are hungry for more battles, so how about we challenge the gym, then visit the museum?" Her Pokemon gave smiles of approval. Marcia giggles. "And I thought I was headstrong!" she laughs as she and her Pokemon head towards the Gym.
