I managed to get my hands on a old vinyl but i cant summon him the ancient cave.What am i suposed to do?

you are supposed to give it to a solgaleo or lunala and then you should be able to access it

You are suppose to summon Necrozma by Old Vinyl in Ancient Cave
Once you click in ancient cave, you will find a section call Necrozma with a Necrozma art, after click in you can give your old vinyl to the NPC. However you won’t immediately get Necrozma egg, you will need to do some quest first before able to obtain it

There's a couple of requirements, actually. From the 10th anniversary news post where the quest was introduced:

QuoteThis new permanently available quest can be started at the Ancient Cave when the following criteria are met:
- You must own at least one "Old Vinyl"
- You must own a "Good Rod"
- You must own a "Shadow Radar" (Can be purchased from the shop after reaching Trainerlevel 20)

The Quest can be repeated as often as you'd like. One Old Vinyl is consumed in every repetition.
