Drop Down List while writing Usernames

Whenever we have to gift a plushie, set a private trade for someone or send battle requests and many other places which includes writing the receiver username, we had to write the complete username which is sometimes quite irritating when the username is too long or full of special characters.
So therfore i come up with a new suggestion:
When you start typing the intial characters of a username a drop down list will appear filtering only those usernames which contains the character you typed in the username box.It is very much similar to what we see on Facebook or Instagram while tagging our friends.
This would reduce making mistake, copy paste of usernames and typing long usernames. Since PH is now a mobile friendly game so you can not always rely on copy paste
I hope this suggestion is well explained.

I dont support it.

→There are 100,000+ active members on PH, that would be a lot of coding and it wouldnt go smooth
→The suggestion is really small but would take up too much time
→How would It work for the palpad? The format of the palpad is heavily right-sided and it would be annoying to go through 100,000-1,000 usernames
→Typing it in is easier anyway. Just copy and paste it in. No need to overwork Tobi

Exactly what Tidepod said.

It's literally not that hard to write the username :V I don't think we need a new feature to simplify this.

I appreciate your opinion and generosity for Riako, but that does not mean we should not work towards our ease, and about riako i dont think coding it would be really difficult for him. For a person who can make such a complex website all alone implementing this wont be that difficult the way you are describing. I think it would go as smooth as palpad search thing works and search bar in storage boxes.
Well it completely depends on the userbase to decide

I really think you are missing the point

100,000+ active members

PalPad already works like that, filtering Users based on the letter(s)/number(s) you've written in the type-box, so I honestly don't see how this would be any more difficult to implement in the GTS?

You select the user, before choosing what to trade, so it's not like it'll cover any vital information either, before you've selected a user to trade with.

So... yeah, I don't a problem with this suggestion ^^'

When put like that, the suggestion is fine. But a drop down list?

This but with all of PH? Thats too much.

Considering it'll only appear as you start typing the name, 'all of PH' will never show up in that Dropdown-menu. It could be limited to showing users that only have that letter/number in the first position, but I really don't see a problem with a dropdown menu appearing and filtering, as we type the username.

...Unless I misunderstood the OP ^^'

What catlady said in her latest feed is actually what i meant

As long as it's like face book, giving 8 suggestions at a time while typing, this could work really well. I think a more useful idea however could just be this idea being implemented so that way your friendslist members get suggested. but we'll see what everyone else thinks!

But not everytime we trade with a person who is there in our friend list. I guess courting through every user would be much better.

A lot of coding?
Lmao to make a drop down list?
I'm laughing.
That's minimal effort coding.

This would function fine and could be very easily implemented. Though it would need tweaking to allow for the 100k+ users

I'd also like to mention its 103,032 registered user, not 103,032 ACTIVE users.
It's also easy enough to ad an "active last" function which could be in turn used to slim down the drop down results to something like only show users active in the last 7 Days.
