"That sounds fun. The Walmart job, I mean. Nothing too drastic changed, I suppose. When we got separated, I got a pet snake.. for yknow companionship. Later on my mom found out I had superhuman powers, and lose it. Then.. yknow.. I killed her. I've been thinking about getting a job. Do you have any recommendations?" Kain asked.

"Well, Walmart during night-shift is fun. But if you're a good cook, we could work together at the restaurant. But other places are like McDonalds and stuff." Espy replies, glancing over at the boy with a smile.

"Oh? Well, I wouldn't say I'm a good cook. I'm kinda average I guess." Kain responded. Diablo continued to listen to the coversation, he seemed pretty content, snuggled up inside Kain's black hoodie.

"No, you did great on that soup." She glanced at her wrist, which bared a watch. She checked the time, 3:00. She looked at Kain. "When we get back, I gotta get ready for work." She told him, her voice quiet.

"Yeah.. I guess. But it's soup." Kain commented. "Yeah, I think we're getting pretty close to the house now though. I'll think about getting a job application at Walmart or something. I can always hone my cooking skills in the kitchen anyways." he added.

Espy nodded, and sped up at the porch. She opened the door, and went to her room. Closing the door, she changed into her white belly shirt with "HOOTERS" written on it. She slipped on some black shorts, and black converse. She let her hair fall, and opened the door. She stepped out, shifting her weight as she stood there.

Kain followed Espy, standing outside leaning against the house. "Don't worry, me and Diablo will look after the house for you." he said with a grin. Diablo flicked his tongue in agreement.

"Take care, Espy!" Kain called, entering the house and closing the door behind him. "I guess we can watch a bit of TV until she gets back." he told Diablo. He sat down on the couch with the TV remote, putting Diablo on his head. "Let's see what's on TV." he turned on the TV with the TV remote.

Espy had an eventful work day, with flirts and booty-smacking, but she made it. She had ran by Walmart and gotten Kain an application, before heading home. She had a hoodie on, but people still whistled. Her face was red when she entered her house, and she handed Kain the paper. "Here Hun." She said, sitting next to him.

"Thanks, leftovers are in the fridge." Kain replied, pointing in the direction of the kitchen. "Got a pencil or something that I can write with?" he asked, putting Diablo on the coffee table.

Espy walked into the kitchen, opening a drawer. She grabbed a pencil and stuck it behind her ear. She opened the fridge and got some soup, and a spoon. She walked into the living room, before handing Kain the pencil and nibbling on her soup.

"Thanks Esp." Kain began to fill in his job application. "It's done." he said. Handing the form to Espy, it had his basic information and whatnot. "How was work?" he asked, putting Diablo in his arms. Diablo seemed interest too, slithering out of Kain's arms and onto his lap. Diablo coiled up into a little ball, his beady red eyes fixated on Espy.

Espy set the paperwork on the table, and glanced at Kain. "Fine. Just some flirts and pervs, no biggie." She said, looking at him with a smile reading as slightly fake.

"No biggie? You're killing me smalls. Esp, you should stand up for yourself." Kain said, a hint of irritation in his voice. He sighed "But, that isn't my decision to make. Look, I can talk with them if you want. I can tell them to knock it off." Talk? Actions speak louder than words. If push comes to shove, I can just show them who's the top dog. he thought.

"That's bs. If you don't talk to them I will." Kain said, folding his arms across his chest. Some rules are mean't to be broken. Very much so if it means standing up to yourself. "If you can't tell the aggressors to lay off how about your manager?" he asked.

"That's stupid.." Kain muttered. "Do you wanna watch some TV? Take your mind off work?" he offered Espy the TV remote. "All three of us can find something to watch." he said. Diablo was in Kain's lap. He curled up into a ball, looking eager to spend some time with the two teens.
