"Esp, listen." Kain began. I don't like lying to her, so I'll tell her. What comes after, I'll have to take it like a man. he thought before speaking "You're my friend, so you deserve to know what's been going on." he added. "Why I ran away from home..."

"You know as well as I do that I have regeneration powers, well.. my mom found out. She didn't take it as well as I thought she would. She called me a demon, and asked me what I had done with her child." he said, staring at the floor. "After a while.. I couldn't take it anymore.. I.." he couldn't do it. He couldn't say it.. not in front of her. Do it. Do it for her.

"I killed her." he said quietly, the room growing cold. And his meal not so appetizing anymore. "After that, I packed up and ran. And then I bumped into you. Esp, you have every right to be scared.. hanging out with a murder. I wouldn't blame you." he finished, waiting for her to smack him and tell him to get out.

Arin felt her eyes widen, before she grasped his hand with her's. Her small hand was fragile and soft. Skin was paper white, and her piercing blue eyes held sadness for him. "Oh god. It's okay. It's okay. Stay here, with me." She, upon instinct, pushed herself forward, hugging him lightly. She was kneeling on the couch, and to her idiocy, his head was being cradled... In her chest.

Before Kain knew it, his head was being pressed against Espy's... he tried to say something but his words were muffled. Why? Why isn't she angry? Why isn't she.. his mind raced. He struggled against Espy's firm grip. Finally he pulled free "Boobs.." was all he could say. He immediately regretted it.

Espy took a good ten seconds to react to the last thing Kain had said, and where his head had been placed. 'Boobs...' The words bounced around her brain lightly, echoing as though in a vast cave. Then her face grew a pale grey color, representing a blush of embarrassment. "I-I'm sorry!" She said, looking away. Her voice was a bit higher pitched than usual, and she pulled her shoulders up a bit higher in embarrassment.

"Boobs.." he repeated, then used both of his hands to slap his cheeks "I forgot something extremely important at home. If someone finds him I'm screwed." he ran into the laundry room, not caring if the load wasn't finished. He slipped his hoodie on and opened the front door "Follow me if you want, but I need to get there asap." he ran off, not bothering to shut his door.

Espy was frozen for a good second, but she stood up quickly. She snatched up her black Willamsburg hoodie and sprinted after Kain. She tripped on the wood, falling against the ground. She bruised her head and body a bit, but she stood and continued to sprint after Kain as pain coursed through her small body. It ached a bit, and she had closed the door. She caught up with the male, but she was much slower, and was a good five feet behind him.

Luckily, Kain was a very fast runner. It wouldn't take him too long to get to his house. Espy's house is two blocks away from mine. he thought, running faster. After a while he kicked his door down and ran into his room. "Crap." he muttered. Trying the kitchen next, he opened the pantry door and.. "Found you." he picked up the albino snake, putting it in the secret pocket (which he had made.) inside his hoodie. "Sorry I forgot about you." he pet Diablo with his index finger.

Espy raced into the house behind him, following him to the kitchen. She looked at him, confusion written on her whole face. "What did you forget?" She asked quietly, looking up at him with curiousity and confusion in her bright blue orbs.

"I actually got a pet snake. His name's Diablo." Kain said, pulling Diablo out of his hoodie pocket to show Espy. "He's not your ordinary snake." he added with a grin. Diablo flicked his forked tongue, staring at Espy with his beady red eyes.

Espy lets out a childish squeal as soon as she sees the snake. She loved snakes, and she lightly pet it with her index finger. She giggled, and looked up at Kain. "Why'd you say you needed him or you'd be screwed?" She asked softly, repeating the motion she had done with her finger once more.

Which was just made for him. "We can go back to your house now. I don't think there's anything else needed." he added.

Arin was walking by Kain's side, her strides as long as her legs could be without looking awkward. She had light, soft steps, and she was making almost no noises as her feet made little contact with the ground below her. She seemed to almost be floating, and she was smiling lightly.

"Well, my parents died about a month after we were separated, and I had to support myself. I worked at Walmart, and... uh... Hooters. I still work there, and it's pretty fun. At Walmart, sometimes we jack around and push each other around in the shopping carts, putting items in shelves as we passed. Hooters is normal, with the slurs and flirts and stuff, but other than that it's cool." Espy explained these things, glancing at Diablio and smiling a bit.
