Not many people know HTML, and for the small minority, they could just use stylish lol. No matter what you think, why can't we stick to the default look? Is this feature really that necessary? And if you don't like the default look, like I said, use stylish.

Also, HTML can be used in a variety of exploits- this results in anywhere from a general nuisance to a full-blown security leak.
If Riako limits the functions you guys can use, it'll be pointless anyway- people will continuously request for those features to be unlocked, too.

In my opinion, BBCode is perfectly fine and easy to use.

(Stylish uses CSS, which can modify certain color attributes in the HTML but not the actual site. However, HTML could actually modify the page to an extent where it couldn't be considered a userpage.)

Allowing HTML gives so much possibilities to do evil things.

For example an innocent looking link.
