Claim a Pokémon!


CLAIMING RULES:

1. All Pokéheroes rules apply.

2. This is not a place to obtain Pokémon! These claims are purely for fun, to say you metaphorically "own" a Pokémon on this site. You will not be receiving an actual copy of the claimed Pokémon, so don't come begging for one!

3. This thread is for claiming Pokémon, not your favorite trainer or gym leader. ONLY Pokémon.

4. You cannot claim shinies. You can only claim the different forms of Pokémon listed, such as alternate forms of Shaymin, Rotom, or Castform, or Mega evolutions such as Mega Charizard or Mega Salamence. You can also claim Pokéheroes event Pokémon. For example, one user can claim Foggy-Castform and another can claim Rainy-Castform, so those two are taken and cannot be claimed. Shiny Foggy-Castform would be rejected. If you are unsure if an alternate form can be claimed, use the "find" feature to look for it, or look it up by Pokédex number.

5. One Pokémon per member. We have many players here on Pokéheroes, and though you may have more than one favorite Pokémon, we all need to share.

6. No chatting on this thread please. You can discuss your favorite Pokémon somewhere else. Only post if you want to make a claim or have questions about claims or the thread.

7. If you make a claim and realize that someone has already claimed it before you did, DO NOT EDIT YOUR POST! Just make a new one. Don't worry if you double post; in this situation, I won't mind. If I start getting complaints that users are trying to trick the thread mods and me, I'll just start handing out warnings to the users involved.

8. First come, first serve. If someone claimed a Pokémon before you, please don't try to claim it. Your claim will not be added. The only exception is if the other member did not follow the rules in their claim and have been rejected or they have been inactive for 30 days or longer. You must provide proof of their inactivity.

9. You must have been a member for 1 month or more to make a claim! Otherwise we'll just have a ton of new players claiming and then going inactive and holding the claims useless for 30 days.

10. If you’re inactive for 30 days and with a claim, your claim will be considered null and void and can be "stolen" by another user. The only exception is if you clearly state somewhere, such in as your About Me, that you will be inactive. It is up to you, the users, to hold or steal a claim. The thread mods will not go hunting users down for you to steal their claims.

11. Getting banned - no matter how long - will cause you to lose your claim, whether you’re making one or have already claimed one. You can try reclaim a Pokémon 30 days after your ban has ended.

12. BE PATIENT. Understand that we thread mods have responsibilities outside of Pokéheroes and won't be here 24/7 to accept or deny claims.

13. If you change your username, you need to update your claim using the name-change form. If you do not update your username within 30 days of the change, you'll lose your claim and it will be available to be stolen.

14. You must wait 30 days after making or changing a claim to make a new one.

15. No whining. I don't want to see any "My Pokémon is already taken!" or "My Pokémon was stolen!" I also don't want any complaints if you get warnings or bans. The rules aren't that hard to follow, so you have no excuse to break them.

16. Do not harass the thread mods! We are players just like all of you. We are busy enjoying the game, and we aren't going to spend all of our time babysitting the thread. Do not PM the thread mods, PalPad the thread mods, or Comment on the thread mods' feeds asking them to check your claim! You can ask any questions about claiming here in the thread. Any users caught harassing the thread mods will be given a warning.

17. Check the list before claiming! The thread mods and I aren't going to check it for you. The Pokémon are split into lists by region and National Pokédex number, so finding out if the one you want is taken really shouldn't be that difficult.

18. You must format your claim dates like this: Month #th, Year! For example, if you look at the mod claims, my claim was made on May 14th, 2016. This is how yours should look.


Easy, right? If you don’t follow the rules you will get one strike. You will be banned from the thread for a week after one strike. Get two strikes, and you'll be banned from the thread for two weeks. If you get three strikes, you'll be permanently banned from this thread. Posting in the thread while "banned" will earn you another strike. If you have a claim and get banned from the thread, your claim is automatically void.

Also, just a little side note, the form has actually changed while I am updating. I was a silly and didn't think to put the Pokémon first so that I could just copy/paste the username and claim date. The new form is this:

Thanks for the support guys! I was a little worried when no one was claiming anything but my thread mods. :')
