I think they should make retro mega pokemon...it seems like an amazingly fun thing to do

To anyone who says no because 1. There aren't evolutions 2. If they did evolve then it wouldn't be nostalgic

Would it not bring back them memories of your firs time playing red/blue, getting one of the starters fighting battle after batle, going up against unbeatable odds and still winning. Would you not be reminded of the first time finding a legendary in the game and accidentally killing it, would you not remember how when you played it over you made sure to safe first. Would you not remember walking towards the ultimate fight...the elite four, would you not be reminded of facing each elite four losing and winning as you slowly made your way to the champion, would it not remind you of the fact that all of this happened because you decided to choose charmander, bulbasaur, or squitle. Would you remember watching it grow into a powerful creature, and then you bring in the mega evolutions... those childhood memories begin to merge with the newer memories as you realize that every time you play a pokemon game that you never forgot the friends that you made from them and how your relationship with those friends can allow them to become stronger...

thank you for reading and please reply if you want to say why this wouldn't work :)

(Also if you wouldn't want your retro to evolve just give it an everstone...if it could evolve)

The retro Pokemon are just very old sprites of regular Pokemon and a neat addition, giving them mega evolution would require extra spriting etc.
Also, how is mega evolution to Pokemon that weren't able to mega evolve back then give back memories?
It's going to be a completely new form, I think they should stay like that because that way they give back more memories rather than with mega evolution.
I think a better idea would be to let them evolve, but that's a totally different topic.

It does say in the wiki that there is a possibility of mega retro's but riako has said before Not to suggest pokemon (Events etc)

Edit: This is quoted from the mega pokemon page on the wiki (Cant figure out quote bbcode soo..) "Retro Charmander, Retro Bulbasaur and Retro Squirtle may hatch with a mega bubble on their summary page, but currently cannot be mega evolved, but may in the future."
