When you make avatars, do you draw on the pictures or use them off the web, if you use them off the web, do you ask or use credit for the pictures you use?

It makes me kinda sad to know that you don't ask/credit the original artist before using the avatars.
That's actually considered as art thievery as you take them from the internet without permission and add on your own edits to it then selling them for a profit (in PH anyway, but a profit is still a profit). You said you spent a minimum of 30 minutes on a little avatar but you gotta realize that people spent more than 5, sometimes 9 hours to finish that one piece of art. They poured all their hard work on their art only to realize that people had not only taken it but even slap on their own edits to it without proper credit given. That's an incredibly disrespectful act to artists, please stop that. Thanks.
