say you need money for a great deal but oh no you spent it all bidding on a shiny thats not gonna finish for a few days and the offer passes and it was really good. why don't we get the option to unbid on things i'd make things a lot more simple

This has already been suggested several times in the past, and from what I remember, the original suggestion was rejected.

The other threads have been rejected, too, for the following reason:

In general you should be careful when setting a bid... Since it cannot be undone, for realistic reasons.
