We have a gem exchange but the thing i would like is a box and key exchange. I know we have a forum for it but people rarely frequent there but if it was set up like the GE, people could get he boxes/keys they needed quickly including black keys and boxes

with the NEW update to GTS, such a thing may already be planned? as you will be able to offer many items for 1, perhaps it will not just be a pokemon there to start with?

Yup, fully support this. It would be a lot easier.

No support.

I honestly do think that'd be nice... but, it'd make this game much too easy and make the rare items such as maps that come out of boxes too easily attainable.

The same can be said for Gem exchange, auction house, and GTS.
1. Gem exchange would make Gem Cauldron, and Kalos legends easy.
2. Auction house and GTS'll make the Pokedex too easy.

trading through feeds and threads, and through a new feature are essentially the same thing, but the feature will save time, and lots of effort which goes in making threads and fancy shops.

Support.

Well no, I disagree.
1. We normally use the gem exchange to get gems shiny hunts or yes, the Kalos legends. These goals all require a large amount of gems which means the GE doesn't make that much of a difference.
2. The same goes for pokedex filling - there are so many pokemon that being able to exchange a few doesn't do as much.

On the other hand, there are only a certain amount of colors for boxes and keys. Considering the amount of users we have on this site, if exchanging boxes and keys is simply clicking an exchange button, we'd all immediately get the pair we need as soon as our rumbles end. Thus, we'd be able to open up a lot more boxes than we normally can.

@SilverStar

But there is still the random chance factor

you can open up over 1,000 boxes and still get only 1 map.

and the boxes/keys are hard to get, like some Pokemon and gems.

I support this, having several boxes with zero matches.

Also: Some people are luckier than others. So what??

I agree with @Jamison. The chance of getting something good from regular colored boxes are fairly low. Plus, the AH and GTS make getting shinies/valuables easy, just like opening boxes. Full support

Cant you people just find others to trade with?

I mean, we have a mystery key trade thread thing in the gts fourm ._. Talk to people on there, I'm sure they won't mind trading, that's what they're there for, to trade.

I'm sure they'd trade boxes too if you actually tried asking.

I'm sorry if this comes across as rude, but that's my opinion. We don't need fancy exchange stations for every other item.

No support .

From this the rate of boxes like Gold box will be lower down to normal one . Plus as SilverStar said the needs maps and rare items will be easily fulfilled

No support as @Silverstar has commented, and as @~Bad_Apple~ commented, it isn't difficult to find someone to exchange with, this is primarily an unnecessary feature

Support! Since there's a gem exchange, why not a box/key exchange?

I don't think this make it too easy to obtain rare items since swapping boxes/keys is already possible, just that this suggestion makes it simpler.

I don't really see the point of this. I'm sure that most people would seek for missing keys as the boxes are really easy to obtain [like from emera beach]. So personally, I doubt this kind of exchange would work in practise. I'd rather stick with an old method of getting matches - via notifications and palpad.

There are people looking for non-blue/black boxes and keys too.

It's well known that blue boxes are common (Price Check now lists them as cheaper than other boxes) while Black Keys are rare, so having a lot of blue box trades will make people realise that "hey, I have a lot of this, should I offer more of them?". After all, if they continue to offer blue boxes at the normal rate, they won't get many exchanges.
