Kudos for a nice-looking and detailed first post :)

The gender isn't decided when an egg hatches, actually (not sure if I ever said that), but it's decided when the egg is adopted. It would require some recoding, though, since the Daycare doesn't decide if it's male/female, but the Adopt-Code does. Weird to understand when you're not me - but lemme just tell you: It requires some recoding, but not that much.
The shiny chance is also calculated in the Adopt-Code - and I also coded the Pokeradar which manipulates this shiny chance from the outside. So hey, why not also Genders.

(This does not mean that I like/support/implement this suggestion. Just wanted to give kudos to the first post & clarify the thing about when a gender is decided.)
(Personally I wouldn't use such a GenderRadar/Gender Lens, since I don't care much about genders, but... maybe a lot of people do and could find it useful.)

no support the gender doesn't really matter for me unless the pokemon can only evolve to a pokemon if it has a specific gender

trying to get it on ranklist so plz interact with it

Yeah, it's kinda useless. It helps no one with anything because gender doesn't actually matter. And about the 1 gender radar, why would you mind hatching a female shiny and keeping the hunt for a male (premium) or remake the hunt (non-premium)?

But this adoptable site can be qualified as "useless" because you can't get anything from it in real life yet people sign in, play minigames, do all these things for fun, because they can, because they want to do so. Full support.

Oh, another thing. Maybe a new page called "Gender Radar"? I could make an image sample for this. o3o

Done!

*throws in random idea*

How about an add-on for the Pokéradar (that costs about 50,000 PD) that lets you select a prefered gender on your Pokeradar page during a shiny hunt - and with an increasing chain the probability of hatching a Pokemon with that gender increases.

Example:
When you're hunting a Pokémon with a 50:50 gender ratio and you select "male", the start probability of hatching a male Pokémon stays 50% at the beginning of a chain - but increases to ~80% when you reach max chain.
And obviously when you hunt for a Pokemon with a different gender probability (let's say Eevee which is 87.5% male) and you choose the less likely option (in this case female, 12.5%) - the probability increases during the shiny hunt to about 20%, which is a fair increase.

Why not 30%? :P

First of all, I'd like to thank everyone for the support :D and say that I'm sorry for all the ones who don't like or wouldn't use my idea, it was only a suggestion.

I didn't expect it was to give as much impact :O

@Riako, thanks for answering and for all the greetings :) - Even if you didn't liked my idea so much x3
I liked your additional suggestion and I agree with it (Y)

*Names and sprites I used were only to show the idea itself, but the names dont have to be those ones*

And yes, the ''GenderRadar'', in my conception, would be an ''acessory'' to the Pokeradar, in which people would choose the gender and only eggs in the choosen gender would be counted

Example: Female Eevee
If a male one is born, it won't count as a chain

(This idea was made exatly thinking about the pokemon with a big difference in their gender ratio, like eevees and starters)

But your idea is good too, instead of count only the choosen gender, increases the chances for that choosen one (I haven't though about that)

I agree with Vitorbacon about the 30% XD

And 50k pokedollars ia a fair value. I had though about something like that, but of course, the price is up to you (if you accept, of course)

And that's it, thanks for you attention! ;)

Love the idea!
If I were going to set up a shiny in an auction, it would be worth more if its gender was the least likely value. (ex. Amaura: Female or Skitty: Male)

There's nothing more beautiful than the rain.

I like both the ideas and support them both!

The gender matters [At least for me]- when you hunt pokemon with different gender sprites [Like meowstic]- or when you are trying to get shiny mothim or wormadam- so that's why these two ideas have my fulll support ^^

And I really like how well the original idea is explained :3

Full support.
The idea is awesome and a lot of work was put here, i guess.
Very useful for hunting starters and pokémon that evolve based on gender (such as combee and burmy), also for people that have dream pokémon and pokésonas.

I REALLY hope this idea isn't abandoned.

I hope this gets implemented, really disappointing when my shiny eevee hatched male so this would help. Also refreshing to see someone work so hard on an idea :)
