So I don't know how many of you have heard of "flagging" but the basic concept is that you essentially "flag" something that you don't like and that person/admin will be aware of it (depending on the situation).

I think this would be particularly useful for trading. The concept is that if you see a unfair trade in the GTS or Gem Exchange you can press a button to flag it and let the person who set up that trade to know if they're asking for too much or too little. After around 10 flags? the trade would be taken down automatically to promote fairness of all users.

Benefits: Users would be able to know the value on their trades to make them more fair for both sides especially newbies who don't know the value of things.
People who make many unfair trades in per say the gem exchange would have their trades taken down so others can see actual valid trades.
Ultimately reducing some of the clutter created in trading.

Sample:

Person A sets up a gem exchange trade, per say "offering 5 grass gems looking for 100 normal gems in return".
Person B browses through the gem exchange and sees this unfair offer, he/she decides to flag the trade. Menu appears with "select reason for flagging" 2 options? ----> Trade is unfair for the person who offers, Trade is unfair for person who set it up.
Person A receives notification: Ex. "Someone has flagged your trade! (link to trade inserted) Their reason for flagging was "unfair for the person who offers". Once your trade has been flagged 10 times it will be removed! This is your first flag."
Other people flag this trade until 10 limit is met.
Person A received notification: "Your trade was flagged ten times, therefore it has been taken down in the gem exchange."

Thanks for reading! Constructive criticism and comments appreciated! C:

The problem with auto-removing them would be for the exchanges that are intentionally set up for other users.

So user A sets up a gem exchange of one normal gem for 50 fire, 50 Grass, and 50 Ghost gems.
Users C-L report the trade unfair, it gets taken down.
User B comes online, goes to look for the exchange, and can't find it anywhere.
User B either gets mad, or is patient with this feature, or keeps their stuff that were gained from the agreed upon trade.

Now, in this case it's clear that it's set up for another user, but what if it was like your offer?
"I bought 100 gems, but I feel just one gem for them is unfair, so I offered what few gems I had of a type that user needs, resulting in five of one gem for a hundred of their gems"

I've actually done things like that and it was fair, because I was buying the gems, not just randomly trading them.

As for actual trades, if users don't think they are fair, they will either pm the person who set it up to talk about it, or offer something they think is actually worth it instead.

There is one major flaw in this plan: Oftentimes trades or gem exchanges involve other actions which you can't see right there. For example, if someone wants 100 normal gems for their 5 grass gems, maybe there's a mention somewhere that the grass gems come with 20k PD or some item. It could even be a private agreement between two users. I foresee a lot of exchanges getting falsely flagged because the flagging user doesn't know the whole picture.

@moonrise... if there are really prearranged meeting between users, then they should use private trade in gts.. i support this idea since it is annoying to see a lot of trade in gem exchange wherein u will know noone will going to offer.... and plus it would help the one who set the offer understand the value of what he is asking.

if you achieved your dreams, what's next?

@snORly, At the time this post was made (3+ years ago) there were no private trades.
