Sobboil breeding?

So I'm currently breeding for Sobboil using a Ditto and Sobboil as my pair. They produce a lot of Sobble eggs and occasionally a Sobboil, as is normal.
But when I tried to pair my male Sobboil with a female Sobble (both different OTs!) they can't breed.

My question is; is there something I'm missing, or can Sobboil not breed with Sobble despite producing Sobble eggs?

PokéHeroes only checks the first Egg Group, so if they don't match, the base pokémon doesn't matter.

(Sobble = Water 1, Sobboil = Field)
