I sure hope it will get fixed eventually! 😅
My guess is that it's hard to locate what exactly causes the issue, which is also why it might take longer to be fixed.

I have this problem but I didn't eliminate the rattata, I put it in the box and then it didn't accept it or give me another egg. What I'm afraid is that the mission is not removed and maybe I won't get more similar missions for that reason.

Got this bug a few days ago. Hatched the rattata while shiny hunting. Once hatched I put the rattata into the pc box and then started receiving ghost eggs for this quest.

Same with me i hatched the rattata, went to daycare clicked claim next egg. It says come back after you have hatched it . I didnt got the next egg also

One of my friends, ErinBurr , got the quest after me, and i warned them, but even doing everything right, (not transferring, or even moving the hatched Rattata, and having a not full party), the quest still glitched out.
Other friend, Zachsauce , got it abt the same time as me.
I really hope this gets fixed soon

Title: Bug with quest

Hello! 2 days ago I received an Alolan quest from Daycare Owner, after hatching first egg I get Kantonian Rattata from it and then went to Daycare, Owner say to me that he will gave me another egg, but he did not do this and also did not take back Rattata
I will neeeever give up. Never. Never ever! Neeeever never!

Same here, hatched the rattata, claimed the 2nd eggs but nothing appeared in my party. Thought I won't be able to complete it since it's been 3 days but I see that I just have to be patient for it to 'magically' hatch 😅

So, based on my own experience with this bug as well, even if we don't get the actual Pokémon Eggs, they do "hatch" eventually, and the Alola Rumble Area does get unlocked. The only thing we're missing out on seems to be an Alolan Vulpix egg.

Sorry it took a while, but the issue should now be fixed!

You should've received the Alola Map regardless, but indeed missed out on the Alolan Vulpix... I hope that's alright'ish? ><'
There's no real easy way to check in hindsight who "missed out on the Alolan Vulpix" and should thus now receive one... But if you urgently and really care about it, then do let me know. But remember that you can also get it via breeding and from the Alola region itself.

Thank you! I already got an Alolan Vulpix via trade and did unlock the Alola Rumble Map, so I'm good. Glad it's fixed! :)

Fix #2: I've found out that the invisible Pokemon eggs actually do exist, they were just stored at an invalid location.
I have now moved unhatched quest eggs to your Egg storage (even if you don't have enough capacity) and your hatched quest eggs to your first Storage Box. Please check there and move your eggs back to your party in order to continue with the quest.
