I realized that if you’re on mobile and you water your plants. The plants give you the experience but sometimes the stars move super slow. If that happens and you click away to somewhere else(like notifications), you don’t get your experience.

I didn't notice the stars not counting towards the experience but I have noticed it being slow

When it gets slow, I usually just get too bored and I just clicked to toolshed. I clicked back and I didn't receive a single point of experience.

You still get the experience, even if you refresh. The Stars are purely a visual representation, if you refresh the page before the stars reach the bar, the experience is still added.

Are you sure? It's only 1 experience per plant, so maybe you just expected to see more, which makes it seem like you got nothing?

That's odd, I tried it and I got all my experience points (plus I do that on a daily basis since I get inpatient). Maybe it's just with you somehow?
