So I know that eggs from the bug contest won't break a shiny hunting chain, but I was curious if it would still have that increased chance. So for example, if you're shiny hunting for Pinsir and get a Pinsir egg from the contest, would it have an increased chance of being a shiny from your shiny hunt?

No, it will not. It doesn't count for your chain, so it won't be influenced by your chain.
