I need help with widgets, more specifically, things like providing links that you can click to bring you to the item you want people to see (i.e, sharing a link to CatLady's page with her name instead of the full link), also how to provide hidden content in forums, and how to share image links without the picture showing up.

First, you can check out this guide or that wiki about using BBCodes.

About widgets, check out "Community" tab > Share Widgets :

[widget=inter]31197568[/widget]

Then, click on the spoiler to see what it'll turn into :

Show hidden content

That "share widget" only works when you post it in your forum signature, "Diary" thread (since it can be against the rules if you just randomly post that share widget in the forums) or Profile page's custom Panels, and NOT on feeds/comments.

Sharing a profile page link with just their username :

[user]Beast1546[/user]

Then, it'll turn out like that :

Sharing image links without the picture showing up :
