Daggers are not a weapon type outside PoR, RD and Fates.
There is not a tournament to enter the Officers Academy, but, as Leonie shows us in game, you can pay to enter...

Appearance: Eleanora is tall and skinny, with periwinkle straight locks of hair that reach the small of her back, but is typically tied up into a sloppy ponytail before she goes into battle. Her eyes are blue, like her father's, and her hair was apparently inherited from her mother. She wears glasses to help her read, but other than that, she flaunts a beautiful butterfly pin that was passed onto her from her father's side of the family.
Personality: She can be very intimidating at first glance, kind of like her father. However, she is very kind once you warm up to her, a trait she inherited from her mother, whom she knows nothing about. Eleanora is also extremely stealthy, sly, and tends to get very hands-on during mock battles or monthly missions.
House: Blue Lions
Background: She is the daughter of Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd. Her mother is never spoken of, but due to her stealthy and sly nature, she figured out her mother's name was 'Ellis'. She doesn't know much else about her except her name. Her mother had died shortly after birth, so this is why Eleanora does not know much about her. However, Dimitri and the rest of the elders seem to remember her mother quite fondly, which is why Elle tends to get so upset about her mother. As she was growing up, she had a tiny crush on Sylvain, but it soon faded, as she learned that she was not born to love. She was born to fight. HOWEVER. She did come to terms that she could love someone later on in life, but it has to be the right person.
Strengths, weaknesses and hidden talent:
Strengths: Lance, Faith, and Sword
Weaknesses: Riding, Axe, and Reason
Hidden Talent: Magic
Other traits: She wields a Crest of Flames, which some people say she inherits from her mother. Her class was originally Noble, before she studied to change it to Cavalier, but is contemplating on changing it to Bishop due to her hidden talent.

1) Sylvain, in this roleplay, is a grown man. Is that what you had in mind?
2) I don't know about the other players, but I'm assuming all characters' class is still Noble/Commoner
3)Magic? Do you mean Reason, or...?
Also, a thing I'd like to ask: is 'Ellis' (one of) your Byleth(s)?

And okay! I can deal with being a noble until the roleplay thickens or whatever hehe~
And, when Eleanora was growing up, in the Kingdom of Faerghus, Sylvain would typically visit, since... she is the daughter of the King, who was acquaintances with Sylvain. But she doesn't have a crush on him anymore, since. He's waaay older. When she was young it was just a tiny little crush. ^^;;

Personality: Studious, quiet, not one to talk much
House: Golden Deer
Background: A noble by birth, Rue has been born in raised with a sense of growing stronger to one day protect her home and to defend the ruler of the alliance. With all of this, not much interaction with people have come up to her. She was raised as a sort of Marianne, her mother, to be amazing in reason and Faith. However, she became interested in the bow from watching Claude, king/whatever fancy title he has of the alliance, she slowly took interest in the bow. Thus, she is here now to make both of them proud.
Strenghts, weaknesses and hidden talent: Strength; Bow, Faith. Weakness; Lance, brawl. Budding Talent; Sword
Other traits: Even though she is distant to everyone, she still willing to sacrifice herself so others can improve
So sorry for anything wrong, in the middle of playing three houses and still near the beginning. Like.... part 1 chapter 5 or 6. So.... not after this supposed time skip I've heard about
