Every now and then when I collect an egg from professor Rowan the ditto at the top holding a pokeball will turn blue into it's shiny form for one egg adopt is there a reason for this?

If you clicked on that Shiny Ditto image and gotten a "Hihihihihi." pop-up notification, you'll have a higher random chance of receiving a Shiny Ditto plushie from Professor Rowan. ;)

I won the "Event Spriting Contest" as it says on News Announcement #224.
