hey so my icon for palpad has been indicating i have new messages but when i check to see who messaged me recently, I don't have any new messages at all. I tried clicking on everyone i recently chatted with but that hasn't changed it at all it's still saying i have new messages to read

edit: I'm putting a link to an image to show what I mean. keep in mind, these were just taken and hasn't changed at all
I also thought it might be a good idea to block the usernames of the people who recently messaged me. I left the times when the last message was sent to each person alone though

I'm pretty sure that's just a new thing with the update? I'm honestly not sure. To add on, the tab is also showing that there is a new message when there isn't one. This could be another part of the bug?

Scroll down on your conversation list and check if there are any unread messages :)

Just did, it was a bunch of messages that I already read. None of them actually replied back to me.

well it fixed the issue for me but now I'm wondering why it was saying I had a new message in a chat from five months ago that didn't even have any new messages, the guy never responded to me either

Just to share my own experience.

When I found out about removing conversations from recent (apparently, X icon is invisible on my phone but still clickable), I immediately took care of my pal pad.

First I know is the pal pad icon wasn't glowing, all recent messages (with the oldest one being 9 months old) didn't appear as new, as it is supposed to be.
Then I started deleting and deleting, at some point I started finding some (over 2 years) old messages appearing as new, while the funniest part is that I was the one who replied the last, hence it's impossible to be new. And at this point I also noticed pal pad icon glowing, which stopped once I removed everything I wanted to remove.

(Coincidence or not, if not all, almost all conversations that are 4+ years old appeared as new)

Otherwise, I have no problems (yet) with the update.

This issue appeared when the messages were converted from the old system to the new one - the only way to fix that is by opening and closing the conversations to mark them as read :)
