I think this game should have a contest every now and then to allow the users and artists a chance to have their own Pokemon implemented onto the game. Would be cool to see everyone's creativity!8)

That would be really neat, if the spriters and Raiko and them would be up to the task ^^

Maybe it could be some kind of event that would be held every 3 or 4 months(over the course of those months), meaning only 3-4 winners a year, making user-made fakemon rare enough to be special without straying too far from the Pokemon games in itself. Perhaps the challenge would be themed in a way, or the user would create an event fakemon from a select list of actual Pokemon.
Perhaps then the winner could receive the 1st OS regular and/or shiny as a freebie, and the rest of the community earn it some other way.

All in all I like this general idea, and though it definitely needs to be built upon, I think it would be a really fun was for the community to be more involved in what we see on this site.

I love that! Gets the community more involved, allows everyone to brainstorm and show their talent and ideas :) always been a childhood dream of mine to great my own Pokemon:)

However, you mentioned 'fakemon' - do you mean event mons (Emera Dex) or completely new Pokémon species? Because if it's the latter, ehhh I don't think that's going to happen ever. (Never say never, but at this point of time, it's veeery unlikely.)

There was already some contests like that (ie Fiesta Larvesta line), and it shouldn't be too overused or the actual spriters wouldn't be able to do the job they were given.

Meh I don't love it. My favorite part of this site is how it's classic with a twist on some classics. Fakemon are usually stupid in my opinion but that's just me- what makes them pokemon at that point instead of just another fantasy creature?

Im with shinypooch. I dislike fakemon (except event ones) as i think they deviate in the real pkmn world.

EDIT: but i love the idea of having a contest for drawing event pkmn. (n which has already been stated by Liirah)

as nice of an idea as this is, i dont really think it should be done for legal reasons. if someone drew something they are allowed to copyright claim it at pretty much any point or claim someone stole it even if it was in a contest. it could cause legal problems if, say, a person were to get permabanned and that person either no longer wanted the sprite used or just wanted to be malicious and mean and get pokeheroes in trouble. so.. no support, sorry dude :^(
