Torrent cheered and jumped off Austin's shoulder. He ran across the beach to join Dot in jumping in the water as well. Austin smiled and tucked his hands into his pockets, he looked at the sky and blinked for a moment. Can I trust her? He couldn't help but think. He shook the thought away and looked at the water.

Dot splashes Torrent playfully and laughs. Stream looks on with a soft smile, but couldn't help but think about what Austin said about Team Rocket. He couldn't possibly be one of them.. It's just doesn't sound logical, but what if it was all just a lie? Lying... just like I am to him..

Torrent laughed and splashed Dot back gleefully. Austin smiled at them and chuckled softly, he then looked back at the sky and frowned to himself. I've been hurt in the past before. People pretend to be my friend, I trust them...will the same thing happen this time? No...maybe not. He blinked and looked at the clouds. "That one looks like a Pikachu!" He said with a smile and pointed to a random cloud.

She feel bad about lying to Austin, he seems like a good person to her, and she felt that what she'd been told was wrong. She wanted to report back and tell them that, but what if she ended up being wrong about Austin? She didn't want to feel like a failure if Austin did turn out to be a grunt. She then suddenly snapped out of her thoughts. "What? Huh?" She looks up at the sky to look at the cloud. "Oh... y-yeah.." She points to another cloud. "That one looks like a... swirlix."

Agreed. Sorry, I sort of wrote Austin as a trainer who struggles to get past his dad's past since people blame him for the wrong Snow did. When should Rocket attack and Austin finds out Stream was lying to him? Cause I'm thinking maybe Austin will be fighting a rocket grunt by himself in a dark alley a bit later on. Maybe Stream could secretly be following him and see the fight?

Austin chuckled softly and smiled. "Yeah it does! That one over there looks like a Ditto." He said cheerfully and smiled. He frowned and looked up when he heard Smokey call for him. "I'll be there in a sec!" He called and glanced at Torrent. "I've gotta go soon." He sighed.

It does make alot of sense, I think, so you're good!

TBH I kinda based Stream's personality off Dendy, though I'm pretty sure I made the character before OK KO came out but I didn't develop her much back then so year now I'm pretty much taking inspiration from Dendy with more awkward and shy elements thrown in as well

And yeah, I think that's a pretty good idea! It should happen later though, so those two can develop their friendship more before that.

"Bye.." Stream says, with a small wave, then frowned and sighed when he was gone. Dot hopped onto her shoulder, looking concerned for her trainer.

Stream walked home and went to her room, clicking the door shut behind her. She brushes her hair back to reveal the earpiece again. "Stream checking in."

Austin walked back inside and yawned. He headed for his room and placed his bag on the bed. "Hey Aus! Snow told me your favorite food so I made you some orange chicken for dinner." Smokey said kindly.

Austin looked up and smiled. "Sounds great!" He said kindly and headed into the kitchen.

"Hello Stream, have you found the grunt?" A voice replied on the other end of the earpiece.

Stream paused, trying to think of what to say. After a few seconds she said: "I've found the suspect, Austin Spruce, however, it does not seem like he is actually one of them. Infact, he has claimed that one of them tried to steal his Pokemon once, and that he fought them. I am not sure if he is lying or telling the truth though.."

"Do more research on him, pretend to be his friend and gather more information. If Rocket is back then he might be trying to trick you." The voice said simply and sighed. "Some grunts will like to seem like they're the innocent type."

Austin finished eating his dinner and smiled. "Thanks, Smokey! It was great." He said happily and went to do the dishes. Smokey smiled and nodded in response as he got up.

"You should get some sleep after that. Tomorrow is your first day of school." Smokey said kindly. Austin nodded and went to finish the dishes before heading back to his room.

"... ..." Stream was silent for a moment, then sighed. "...Understood. Tomorrow is a school day, and Austin will begin attending the same Pokemon School I do, so I will try to find out more about him from there."

Austin yawned and rubbed his eyes. He crawled into bed and closed his eyes before falling asleep. Torrent let himself out of his pokeball and curled up next to Austin.

When the call finished, Stream let her hair fall back over her ear, and went to change into her pajamas and get ready for bed. Once she was done she sat down in bed, and placed her large, round glasses on the dresses next to her. She stared up at the ceiling of the dark room and thought to herself. She really hoped that the Aether Foundation was wrong, and that Austin wasn't tricking her. But to be safe, she had to assume the worst, and make sure not to get to attached. She sighed and closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.

Austin woke up in shock the next morning. He groaned and rubbed his right eye as he had forgotten to take his contact out. "Super." He said quietly and yawned. He hauled himself out of bed and remembered the nightmare from the night before. "Oh well, it wasn't important." He whispered and dismissed the nightmare before walking out of his room for breakfast.

Stream sat at the table, eating her cereal for breakfast, though she was lost in thought. "Are you okay?" Her mother asks. "You seem pretty distracted this morning.."
"Oh.. it's nothing.." Stream says quietly, not looking up.
"Right.." Her mother says with uncertainty. "Well, how's the Aether Foundation internship going?" She asks with a smile.
Stream looks up. "Pretty good I guess.."

Austin walked into the kitchen and grabbed himself a bowl of cereal for breakfast. He sat down and began to eat it while still trying to fix the contact in his right eye. "Morning Austin." Smokey said with a tired yawn. "You forget to take your contact out last night?"

*Yeah, I was pretty tired and just fell asleep." Austin said with a sigh and finally took the contact out. "Guess I can't wear it today, my eye is slightly annoyed.* He whispered and shrugged. "So what class do you teach again?*

"Pokemon photography. You'll have it a bit later on." Smokey said kindly and made himself a bowl of cereal. "We leave in a few so you better get ready." Austin nodded and finished his food before going to change.

Stream finished her food and went to change into her school clothes. She looked in the mirror, adjusting her collar then sighing. She then grabbed her bag and headed downstairs. "Have a good day at school, sweetie!" Her mother says kindly.
Stream nods. "I will, thank you." She says before walking out.

Smokey had left for the school house seeing as he had told Austin it wasn't a far walk to the building. It wasn't, as the school was near the outskirts of town. Austin walked outside and stretched, he headed down the path to town.
