Didly, Tux, Scrappy, and Spotty where all in there tent when they hear the leader call “Come on! Time for a meeting! Every cat come!”. So the family trots out to the center for the meeting.

Firepaw was sleeping curled up on a tree stomp when he heard the call. Streching, he got up and walk over where he joined up with Snowstorm who was licking herself cleaned. Silk was running in everyone'S paw trying to get a good view.

Once everybody was gathered. “As you might all know that we are running low on food, but does anybody know why we are?” He looked around to see if anybody knew.

The leader chuckles. “Yes, yes, smart young cats we have.” Cats in the crowd laugh a bit. “But back to business, do not worry tho! I have chosen 8 cats to venture out and find food for us!” The cats in the crowd whisper.

Firepaw turns to the cat on his left, who was a dark grey cat. "Oh meow!! Who do you think it's gonna be?" he whispers to the cat. The grey cat shrugs and tells Firepaw to shut up so he can listen to the Leaders words.

Didly: “Kids, if some but not all of us come it’s gonna be ok. Ok?” The rest of the family nods even they other mom.

Leader: “So if I say your name please come over there me. The cats are Didly, Tux, Scrappy, Spotty, Firepaw, Snowstorm, Silk, and Amberflower.”

Lots of cats cheer and some boo because they wanted to go.

When he heard his name, Firepaws eyes light up with excitment at the prospect of new adventure. He wasn't the only one. Silk was jumping around all excited next to her mother who was afraid for her child who was just appointed as a scavenger. On the other side of the camp, Snowstorm got up gracefully, getting ready to get her stuff for the trip.

Tux: “We did it! We’re gonna go as a family!”

Onece everybody was up front with the leader. “We have chosen you to do this because we have watched and prepaired for this and we found you 8 cats the best fir the job. Info about the trip is that: we don’t kniw how long it will be, you must all work together, bring what you need or want, and you will be leaving tomorrow.” The family bows.

Spotty: “Yes leader.”

Scrappy sees amber dash off. “Oh come on!”

Didly: “It’s ok honey, let’s just get our things then maybe the others will want to talk about it.” The family walks to there tent, Didly packs a salmon, water, and her nurse hat putting them in a little mesanger bag. Tux packs old baby toys, cat kibble, water, and her nurse headband in a saddle bag made for cats. Spotty packs a brush, her favorite toy, an old big blanket, and his specail bib in a children’s purse, it looked more for a boy because of how the print was made. Scrappy packed a toy, and apron, his specail bib, and a small pillow in a bag like spotty’s.

Firepaw heads back to his den where he grabs a few dried meat stick that he stuff in a container which he puts in his pack. He then takes some water bottle that opens easily with his paws, that was brough back from his best friend who was a scavenger. Finally, he puts his lucky feather in his pack and ties it up with a knot.

On the other side of the camp, Snowstorm puts her plastic tiara in her pack, as she doesn't want to lose it on the way there. She puts some salmon and water in her pack. She also packs some glue that the cats had found a few years back and that she never got to use them. She then heads out of her tent.

Silk was jumping around the tent while her mom was preparing her back. "Okay, sweetie, I put some food and water in the bottom. Over them are some ointment in case you're alone and need some. Also, there is some clean cloth in case and" Silk cuts her off. "Mom I don't need any more, I won't be able to carry any more. Thanks. Don't worry, i'll be fine." Her mom lets off a tear and curls up with Silk and they start to purr.

Spotty walked of to Didly and tux. “mommy tux and mommy Didly?” Didly and tux looked over. “Yes honey?” Spotty’s ears bent Dow . “are we gonna be safe while looking for food?” Didly was telling tux with her paw dont tell him! tux rolls her eyes. “we don’t know, we might live, we might die.” Didly hissed. “tux! We dont want to scare him!”. The loud his made scrappy come over. “What’s all the talk about?” Tux turned to look at scrappy. “Just talking about the trip honey.” Scrappy didn’t walk to talk about that. “Ok, talk about boring stuff, I’ll be over here if ya need me.” He points to his patch of grass as he walks over there.

Amber wouldnt bother with a date canister or bottle. She then headed off to see if she could find any other useful things.
