i noticed when i first bought the cooking pot that there were only 2 starting recepies that it came with. are there other recepies? how do you get them?

There are other recipes.
Most are unlocked as your Berry Garden updates, but there are a few you can get through Rowan Quests.

By cooking recipes that don't require as high a temperature. It'll update automatically once you've cooked enough.
