Edge didn't actually bother writing anything in explanation as to why she steals stuff. But that's probably because she genuinely can't be bothered explaining stuff.

"No matter whether it's wrong or right, it's still going to happen." Shadow shrugged. "Just like murder, and other crimes. There's obviously varying reasons for that stuff to happen in the first place but my point still stands that it's going to happen no matter what so..."
