Hey, has anyone ever kicked away the carbink egg in the gem cauldron? What happens then?

I believe if you kick it away you only get what you boiled and that's it

If someone adopts the egg and hatches it, does it count as breaking the shiny chain?

@Pinkysun : Eggs that came from a Gem Cauldron will NOT break any shiny chains..
