He then turned Moose into Aldon the Barbarian and Carl into Ren the Summoner.

(Nope, but to keep at least one tie to Pokemon the flag of the Kingdom is Pokeball shaped and to keep ties to the first quest Kratos will be a martial artist who became Hitmonlee and Joker is a jester who became Mr. Mime.)
